Beaches of Porec

Istria is a paradise for lovers of sea holidays, and Porec is one of the most popular resorts on the peninsula and Croatia as a whole. There are 9 beaches in the city and its surroundings, we will tell you about each of them in more detail.

The most popular place among travelers is the city beach, located in the center of Porec. It is distinguished by clear water (marked with the Blue Flag), a clean concrete coastline and developed infrastructure.

The city beach has a shop and several kiosks, a fast food cafe, a restaurant, showers and public toilets with facilities for the disabled. For 70 kuna per day you can rent an umbrella and sunbed here, and there is a paid paved parking lot nearby. For lovers of active adventures on the beach, there is a rental of catamarans and snorkeling masks, a table tennis table, a beach volleyball field and a water polo area.

The city beach is a great place to relax with little travelers. Entry into the water here is easy, the bottom is small pebbles, there are inflatable slides and a children's playground. Lifeguards work on the beach 24 hours a day.

Blue Lagoon

Another popular Istrian beach is known for its picturesque views and beautiful promenade. The aroma of a pine grove, the blue of the Adriatic Sea, calm water and clean shores make the Blue Lagoon an excellent place to relax. Located 5 km from the center of Porec.

In addition, there are rescuers and a first aid team who monitor the safety of vacationers around the clock. Active entertainment in the Blue Lagoon includes catamarans, water slides, jet skis, tennis and diving.

The beach is well suited for families with children - there are rarely waves here, the bottom is shallow, easy entry into the sea (on stone slabs) and there is natural shade from trees even in the water. It is marked with the FEO Blue Flag.

Zelena Laguna

The next beach is also paved with slabs. It is convenient to enter the crystal clear water here, especially if you swim in the children's part of the beach, strewn with small pebbles. After 12, vacationers can hide from the bright sun under the shade of coniferous trees, drink a cocktail in the bar or have a snack in a small cafe nearby the hotel.

On the Green Lagoon there is a rental area for boats, canoes and pedalos, there are umbrellas and sun loungers, public toilets, changing rooms and showers, and in the children's section of the beach there is a playground with inflatable slides.

In the north of Porec there is a small rocky beach with a park area. Mostly residents of nearby hotels relax here, but this does not make the number of people less. It is precisely because of the large number of tourists that the beach quickly becomes polluted, and due to strong winds, algae and even jellyfish can swim to the already not very clean shore.

Borik is one of the few beaches with palm trees in Istria and Croatia in general. In addition to the picturesque views, here you can enjoy delicious drinks from the bar or jump on the free inflatable trampoline.

Note! The bottom on Borik is covered with sharp stones, and entry into the water is not very convenient, so this beach is not recommended for families with children.

It is surrounded by tall trees, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, and partially covered with grass. Here you can play volleyball, table tennis and water polo, ride a catamaran or rent a boat.

An unusual rocky concrete beach is located 12 km from Porec. This is a resort area surrounded by oak and pine trees, with calm seas and picturesque landscapes. For the cleanliness of the coast and water, the beach is awarded the Blue Flag of the FEO.

On the territory of Solaris there is a campsite of the same name, which has a toilet, shower, shop, restaurant, boat and pedal boat rental, and a sports ground for tennis, volleyball and minigolf. The beach is a nudist area.

A little north of the town of Porec there is a beautiful pebble beach, very popular among tourists in Istria. There is easy entry into the water, clean water and a large children's playground, so it is often chosen for families with young travelers.
