But as this is a purely utilitarian and technical structure, the proud name "Royal Trail" was entrusted? At the time of the beginning of its construction, the Spanish king Alfonso XIII was only 15 years old, and he hardly had at least some attitude to both the trail and hydrocarbonation as a whole. But in twenty years, in 1921, when the solemn laying of the last stone block of the dam was occurring, the monarch of the person honored his presence of this event and even expressed the desire to make a promenade along the route located on a dizzying altitude, admiring the raging at the foot of the cliffs by the river and opening picturesque landscapes. From this point on, the path and the Royal Title received, which they are important to this day.

And neither the Civil Guard nor the local police could completely block this stream of those who want to put their lives.

New life royal trail

2006 was a turning point for the royal trail. Apparently realizing that the flow of those wishing to "noted" on the road of death never runs out, the Andalusian authorities decided to begin work on the restoration of the cult facility. In 2009, the contest of the projects of the restoration of the trail was held. The Royal Spanish trail known as El Caminito Del Rey is one of the most mystical places of Andalusia and the top extreme landmark of the world. Here, in the city, hundreds of thousands of tourists come annually to rinse your nerves, to experience the power of will, get rid of fears. The most dangerous and practically hopeless tasks were assigned to the convict. The trail was built from the sand with cement, and the emphasis was made on metal brackets and rails.

The official opening of the dam and power plants was held in the twenties of the last century, the Spanish King of Alfonso Thirteenth was invited to the ceremony, who in order to get to the territory had to overcome the path, on which fearless builders moved daily, transported building materials and tools. The monarch bravely overcame the path, length of three kilometers, along a narrow trail, which jetstered along the bends of the rock, admiring the fascinating types of the natural beauties of Andalusia, opening from here. During these months, Kamminito again became one of the most popular extreme attractions of Andalusia and Spain.

It is worthwhile to know that any tourist going through the dangerous path of El Camino del Ray, it is necessary to buy a set of cables and carbines for insurance, and he will give a helmet. Without such an outfit, you cannot be admitted to the administration on the trail.
