The landscape-ethnographic "Museum-Solevarnya" is a whole complex, which is the reconstruction of the Varnrician courtyard of the XIII century. It is located on the territory, in the depths of which there is still a huge multifacest deposit of stone, potash and magnesium salts. Until the end of the XVII century, salt mining in these places was the main source of income of the local population.

In our museum you will see how a salt solution was mined from special wells, as with the help of non-good fixtures, a valuable salt was evaporated, and you can participate in its manufacture.

In the salt barn, you will learn about a variety of ways to use salt in Russia. We will not only tell you about the intricacies of the manufacture of cooled dishes for the insulation of products for the winter, but also about their benefits for the body, but also offer to taste the salinity of our own preparation on old recipes. In addition, you will discover some very non-standard ways to use salts.

The exposition in the Russian Gornice is devoted to the value of salt in Russian culture: signs, proverbs, sayings, rituals, which have become part of our daily life from the XIII century.
