Natural brines and salt springs. The salt spring of the brewhouse

  • 23.09.2019

As reported in the previous article, several decor options are used for the interior design of the salt caves:

  • Salt spray method (when the walls visually resemble the walls of a cave)
  • White salt blocks (bricks)
  • Himalayan Salt Tile
  • Himalayan salt pebbles

Blocks (bricks) made of Himalayan salt have an interesting recognizable color, the price for 1 piece is about 150-200 rubles. The material is imported into Russia. The largest deposits are located in Pakistan, India, Bhutan.

White salt bricks for facing salt caves are made by Russian and Belarusian manufacturers, based on salt-Iletsk salt and salt from other mines. Their cost on the market is actually the same - 200-300 rubles / 1 piece.

Method of making salt bricks for cladding halochambers

There are several ways to make solid bricks. One of them is cutting out material from a layer of rock salt. This method has disadvantages, in particular, the imperfect shape of the workpiece - defects and chips obtained during transportation complicate the process of installing salt blocks when finishing the treatment chamber for speleotherapy.

Sawing method

It is used in the manufacture of bricks from Himalayan salt in countries such as Pakistan, India, Bhutan. This is a laborious process involving a large number of working personnel. The mined salt lumps are cut, grinded and packed.

A similar method is used for the production of lamp blanks from Himalayan salt.

The principle of making lamps from Himalayan salt is similar to the method of making blocks:

As stated earlier, research does not support the benefit of Himalayan salt blocks in preventing respiratory diseases. Therefore, we can only talk about the decorative functions of the "Himalayan" bricks.

Pressing

In Russia, the first patent for a method for creating artificial salt blocks for interior lining of premises intended for the prevention of broncho-pulmonary diseases was issued in 1984. Its authors were S.D.Shipilevsky, Yu.G. Maksimov, A.N.Egorov and G.N.Solomkin (production association "Chuvashstroymaterialy").

According to him, the blocks were pressed from rock salt with a moisture content of 5-7%, after which they were kept at room temperature for a week. This made mass production possible with less labor and the risk of defective products.

Production stages

  1. The prepared shredded raw materials are poured into a wooden box.
  2. The quality of the rock salt is checked (moisture, grinding)
  3. Then the mass is loaded into the mixer for 30 minutes, water is added until the moisture content of the material reaches 5-7%.
  4. After mixing, the salt mass is discharged into the compartment, where it is kept for 8-10 hours.
  5. The molding mixture by block weight is placed into a steel mold of a hydraulic press and exposed to a machine.
  6. The formed artificial block is placed in a room with room temperature for 7 days for hardening. To prevent the blocks from sticking together, they are separated from each other with plastic wrap.

This method involves gluing the blocks during installation due to salt crystallization and does not involve the use of binding solutions.

Equipment for the production of salt blocks

The main equipment for the production of bricks for the decoration of salt caves by pressing is a press. It can be of various brands, the P-125 press is suitable for such purposes. The scope of the device is the construction industry (concrete, natural materials, artificial stones, powder metals). His specifications allow a maximum reinforcement of 125 tons. The hydraulic press is centrally controlled.

In addition to P-125, other brands of equipment with similar characteristics can be used.

Salt block press.

It is good when the equipment has sufficient performance. So, if the press allows to produce up to 500 blocks per shift, is automated and safe, then the payback period of a set of equipment in some cases can be up to 1 year.

Chloride mineral water - natural waters with a predominance of chlorine anions (Cl), having a different ionic composition, salinity and temperature. Among chloride waters according to the cationic composition, sodium (Na) (the most common), calcium-sodium (Ca-Na), magnesium-calcium-sodium (Mg-Ca-Na), sodium-calcium (Na-Ca), magnesium-calcium (Mg- Ca).

From the history of the use of chloride (salt) waters in the treatment of diseases

Sodium chloride or salt water has been used since ancient times for the extraction of salt. The discovery of the healing properties of such sources took place empirically. Since ancient times, the inhabitants of Staraya Russa, known for its salt industries, noted that even during the cholera epidemics, there were no cases of diseases among the workers of the salt plant. The local population used this water to treat rubella, scrofula, aching bones, ulcers.

They used the Old Russian salt mineral waters haphazardly, and probably for a long time the waters would have been known only to local residents if the disease had not overtaken General Samsonov. During military campaigns, the general visited foreign resorts, had an idea about mineral waters and how to use them. Wounded in battles, he suffered from articular rheumatism and, having learned from the locals about the healing springs, he decided to try them on himself. He cleared one of the springs on the outskirts of the city, made a wooden frame and began to swim in it. Many residents of Staraya Russa began to use the Samson spring to cure many diseases, sometimes on the advice of doctors, sometimes at their own discretion. The idea of arranging the resort belongs to the physician-in-chief Rauch. Having visited Staraya Russa in 1928, he reported this to Emperor Nicholas I, and soon an imperial decree was issued on the arrangement of the resort, and in 1834 a bathroom building for soldiers was built.

Scientific studies of the beneficial effects of salt water were made by doctors of the Old Russian Military Hospital. Their reports, dissertations, practical observations remain valuable to this day. They could get such results thanks to hospital treatment that did not exist in other resorts. The health resort helped many sick soldiers to get back on their feet, more than a third fully recovered and were able to return to duty. In 1854, the resort was transferred to a civilian department. Count Muravyov, who headed the Ministry of State Property at that time, left his name in the history of the health resort: with his assistance, the first stone building was erected here and the most powerful self-flowing mineral water fountain in Europe was drilled, which became a symbol and decoration of the health resort. The resort hosted both the Grand Dukes and the Queen of Greece Olga Konstantinovna, writers and artists, musicians and artists. The prosperity of the resort was largely facilitated by the fact that the resort flourished in the homeland of Alexander I's wife, Elizaveta Alekseevna, nee Princess Louise of Baden-Baden, and, perhaps, it was this circumstance that prompted the decision to build a luxurious “royal” resort in Staraya Russa.

The opening of the spa on the salt springs of Bad Ischl in the Salzkammergut region, which means "Pantry salt" in German, took place at the beginning of the 19th century. At this time, mineral baths were arranged on the sea coast. After examining the composition of the springs, local doctors came to the conclusion that the mineral composition is very similar to sea water, and a higher mineralization will contribute to a greater healing effect. So a small provincial town began to turn into a popular resort. However, he really owes universal recognition to the stay and successful treatment of the Habsburg couple - Archduke Charles and Princess Sophie. Before that, a sterile marriage after medical procedures turned into a joyful opposite: three sons were born, whom popular rumor dubbed "the salt princes".

Some resorts built on salt mines use not only the lakes formed after the flooding of salt mines, such as the Razval and Tuzlukoye lakes in Sol-Iletsk, but also the spent salt mines. Underground hospitals have been built in the salt mines. These are the sanatoriums Soligorsk in Belarus, Solotvino and the Salt Symphony (Soledar) in Ukraine, Chon-Tuz in Kyrgyzstan, Avan-Arinzhsky salt mine in Armenia, Berchtesgaden in Germany, Wieliczka in Poland, speleotherapy in the Praida salt mines in Romania and Tirgu Okna. Cm. .

There are also unusual salt resorts. In the south of the Altiplano salt desert, in Bolivia, at an altitude of about 3700 m, there is the Uyuni salt marsh (Spanish. Salar de Uyuni), where the hotel is built from salt blocks. These blocks were mined here. Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt lake in the world. Only in the rainy season does it become a lake, and the largest mirror: when Salar de Uyuni is covered with water, every cloud is reflected in it. Its area is 10.5 sq. km. Hotel de Sal Playa near the town of Uyuni was built in 1993. It is not only the walls made of salt blocks and fastened together with a solution of salt and water, which the builders used as cement. Everything is made of salt: chairs, tables, beds, walls, floors. The hotel consists of 15 bedrooms, a dining room, lounge-hall and a restaurant where everything except food is made of salt.

Deposits of chloride (salt) waters, resorts

Salt waters are often referred to as the waters of ancient seas brought to the surface. One of the largest underground seas is located in the center of the East European Plain - with an area of about 360 thousand km2. In the deepest parts of the artesian basin, there is a zone of slow water exchange, where high-concentration salt brines have formed.

The waters of the Moscow basin include the sources of Central Russia, on which the Kashin resorts in the Tver region are built, Staraya Russa in Novgorod region... Recovered by deep wells (some over 1000 m), they are used for drinking cures, baths and other balneological treatments in sanatoriums and rehabilitation centers in Moscow and the Moscow region. The waters of the "underground sea" with mineralization from 50 to 270 g / l are mainly sodium chloride in composition, other cations - potassium, calcium, as well as trace elements are contained in these waters in smaller quantities, but they also determine the therapeutic effect of the waters. For example, the waters of Staraya Russa resort contain an increased amount of bromine, so the sedative effect is more pronounced.

Salt waters of underground sources are the basis of the resorts Usolye-Sibirskoye, Angara in the Irkutsk region, the sanatoriums "Obolsunovo" and "Zeleny Gorodok" in the Ivanovo region, "Big Salts" in the Yaroslavl region, as well as sanatoriums of the Green town near Nizhny Novgorod (Nizhny Novgorod Region) and etc.

Resorts on salt lakes are very popular: Lake Yarovoe in the Altai Territory, Lake Uchum in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, "" in the Kurgan Region, "" in, Sol-Iletsk in the Orenburg Region, Tinaki, Baskunchak, Elton in the Volga region. Cm.

Chloride waters of high and medium mineralization are used externally for baths, irrigation, in therapeutic pools. Low-mineralized waters are mainly used as treatment-table waters, less often - of medium mineralization.

  • Diseases. At the resort of Staraya Russa, a method of early (7 days after the operation) rehabilitation after surgical treatment for diseases of the digestive system has been developed.
  • against the background of unchanged hormonal function and hypoestrogenism.
  • Diseases: hypothyroidism, grade I obesity, gout ..

Salt cooling tower (German gradieren - to thicken brine; originally the cooling towers were used to extract salt by evaporation) is a wooden structure made of coniferous trees (pine, spruce), birch branches or thorns, and also equipped for pumping brine. The brine is pumped up from the adjacent springs to the height of the cooling tower, then flows down the tightly tied bunches of thorns. Sparingly soluble minerals evaporate or are deposited on the brushwood, this increases the salt concentration in the solution. Today cooling towers operate mainly only in summer time... Inhalation in a cooling tower has an effect similar to inhalation of the sea breeze.

An important healing factor is the microclimate around the salt springs. Many German, Austrian and Polish spa resorts with chloride sodium waters cooling towers (from it. gradieren - to thicken brine), a device for cooling water with atmospheric air are arranged. Initially, cooling towers were used for salt extraction by evaporation; in resorts they play the role of balneotechnical structures.

Cooling towers represent a wooden frame, up to several hundred meters long, filled with thorns. X loride sodium (salt) water with the help of pumps it flows to the top of the cooling towers (up to 15 m) and through the tubes the brine flows freely along the branches, and its excess is collected in a trough placed on the floor. The brine supplied in this way intensively evaporates, saturating the air around with iodine, bromine and a whole range of other trace elements, such as magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron and others, and the air around the cooling towers is saturated with aerosol. The smallest particles of water are sprayed at a distance of up to 500 m, forming an aerosol and creating a microclimate that primarily stimulates respiration and lung activity. This air treatment is especially helpful for allergy sufferers. This microclimate is similar to the conditions of the sea coasts: humid, ionized air, saturated with salts and air ions. Staying close to cooling towers around which a natural inhaler forms is extremely effective in the treatment of nonspecific, including bronchial asthma.The cooling tower microclimate is also used in the prevention and treatment of diseases, inflammation of the sinuses, pulmonary emphysema, high blood pressure, autonomic neurosis, as well as general exhaustion. Inhalation used in prophylaxis promotes the growth of immunological protection in healthy people. Aerosol particles are negatively charged and also have a bactericidal effect. The most useful in the process of treatment is a saline solution with a concentration of 3-5%.

There are cooling towers at the resorts: Bad Kreuznach, Bad Reichenhall, Bad Kissingen (Germany), , and Inowroclaw .

IN SUMMER everyone is drawn to the sun, to the sea. By the way, you can enjoy the taste of salty splashes on your lips and breathe almost sea air right inside continental Europe, or rather, in Germany and in. There are also the largest outdoor inhalers in Europe.

The Germans have the word "cooling tower" (Gradierwerk) are used only by specialists, and in everyday conversation they will understand you more quickly when it comes to salt pans (Salinen). Looking at these gigantic structures, it is somehow difficult to come to terms with the fact that in the past they had only a utilitarian use - the extraction of an important food additive - salt. Cooling towers have come down to us since the days when salt ruled the world. It played then a city-forming role, and later became one of the factors contributing to the creation of resorts in the same places.

With the emergence of the idea of thickening the brine before evaporation, the first cooling towers appeared (from German: gradieren - to increase the concentration). There is evidence that they reached 300–500 m in length and eight meters in height. The space between the timber frames was filled with twigs of trees or shrubs. From the brine, making its way through the layer of branches, water gradually evaporated. At the same time, impurities settled on the branches. The process allowed to gradually increase the saturation of the solution to 25 percent.

Healing spray

It is INTERESTING that we also had cooling towers in Russia. At the end of the 18th century, their ranks were a feature of the industrial appearance of Staraya Russa (one of the oldest centers of salt production in Russia). Here, salty water flowing through pipes from mineral springs flowed through a multi-meter layer of birch twigs.

But they received the greatest distribution in Germany... Old engravings show Salt Valley Bad Kreuznach , all partitioned off by cooling tower dams. Today this region between the resort areas Bad Muenster am Stein-Ebernburg and Bad Kreuznach claims to be the largest outdoor inhaler not only Germany, but also all over Europe. Thanks to the operation of 10 cooling towers located here, saturating the air with salt water vapors, these places create a climate that is usually only enjoyed on the seaside. Here you can not only take a couple of breaths at the source, but also do active sports (cycling, walking) without interrupting inhalation procedures for a minute.

What to do when you are near the cooling tower?

The main thing is not to forget to breathe deeply. Benches are always located nearby: you sit, read a book, or simply admire nature and ventilate your lungs with healing air. Many doctors find saline inhalations beneficial for cleansing respiratory tract (salt, in particular, is able to kill pathogenic bacteria), as well as to strengthen the entire body.

Resorts for your lungs

Ciechocinek Three cooling towers built in the 19th century. Cooling towers - unique salt inhalers and the largest in Europe. The wooden structure of natural evaporators originated at the beginning of the 19th century. Height - 15.8 m, total length - 1741.5 m, built of wooden blocks and beams filled with dry thorns. The brine solution from the source is pressurized up to the cooling tower and distributed to its upper galleries. As it falls down through the thorns, the brine concentrates. During this process, a large amount of iodine is formed, the air is saturated with trace elements that have proven healing properties. The concentrated brine is fed from the reservoirs located at the foot of the cooling tower to the saltworks.

Thanks to the cooling tower, the salt pool, numerous parks and green areas, as well as the location of the resort in the Vistula valley, a microclimate favorable for humans and nature has been formed in Czechocinek.

On the outskirts of the park resort, at the iodine-bromide salt spring "Helena" there is cooling tower and a pavilion of mineral waters in the form of a rotunda. This is the first cooling tower in Lesser Poland.The local microclimate contributes to the prevention and treatment of sinus inflammation, pulmonary emphysema, arterial hypertension, allergies, neurosis. Due to the unique properties of salt water, the air formed around the cooling tower is unmatched in the country and in the world.

Cooling tower in Inowroclaw - a complex of salt cooling towers located in the Salt Park, opened in the second half of the twentieth century. The cooling tower was finally opened in 2001. after the completion of work that began in 1984. It consists of two connected polyhedrons with a perimeter of 300 meters and a height of 9 meters. At its top is observation deck, from which you can see a magnificent panorama of the resort of Inovraclav and the Salt Park. The solyanka pumped up to the top of the cooling tower ( salty water) flows down the slopes, which are lined with its walls, and under the influence of wind and sun, a natural salt aerosol appears. Its radius of action is estimated at 300 meters. The recommended stay at the minimum distance from the cooling tower (about 30 m) is no more than 15-30 minutes a day. Staying near the cooling tower helps patients with arterial hypertension, respiratory system diseases, and for everyone, even healthy ones, it boosts immunity and creates the impression of being on the seashore.

Indications for treatment at the Inowroclaw spa:

  • chronic bronchitis, respiratory catarrh, COPD

German spas with salt cooling towers:

  • Bad Kreuznach - open inhalation room (gradierki) - the largest in Europe. Represents eight almost ten-meter cooling towers, with a total length of 1.1 km, which rise between rocky mountain slopes in the river area of the Valley of the Salt Works. In hot summers, cooling towers refresh the surroundings. Salt air inhalation has a beneficial effect on the respiratory tract. In the Spa Park there is another inhalation room with two smaller cooling towers and one brine spray that sprinkles a beneficial brine solution around the area. Here, in the shade on the banks of the river. Nahe, you can enjoy the fresh action of the salty sea breeze for hours. Nowhere in Europe has a larger inhaler of this type survived.
  • Bad Reichenhall - the cooling tower is a 160-meter veranda with a height of 13 meters. For one session, it is recommended to walk along it at least ten times back and forth.

In Russia, this fishery began to develop in the XII century in the northern regions, in the Urals, and later in the central part. Under the Russian Plain, the salt-bearing rocks are relatively shallow, so to get brine in some places it was enough to dig a well several meters deep. Sometimes, in depressions, underground brines came to the surface in the form of salt springs, then the industrialists only had to organize their collection. Also for the extraction of brines, deep wells were drilled, which were reinforced with corrosion-resistant wooden pipes. This technology was already known to ancient Russian industrialists.

Three kilometers from the center of Rostov, in the area of the former Varnitskaya Sloboda, there is a salt well in the form of a round pit with a depth and diameter of about two meters. Its walls are lined with coniferous logs. Thanks to the preserving properties of salt, the well survived, covered only with a grayish coating. The water in the well is level with the ground. Traces of industrialists' activities have been preserved around: the remains of a shed, industrial waste in the form of hills 1-2 meters high. The swampy land around the well was overgrown with dense grass.
The owner of the local breweries was the Varnitsky Trinity-Sergius Monastery located here, founded in 1427 on the birthplace of St. Sergius of Radonezh. At that time, the salt industry was in full swing here! A drawing of the area, dated 1676, has been preserved. Four breweries, the well itself, two salt barns and a chest are marked on it. In 1794, according to the testimony of local chroniclers, there was a 15 by 21 meters pond with two brine-lifting pipes and two salt-boiling ovens.
Usually, the cooking master was engaged in boiling salt, he was also called a cook. He was helped by podvarok and workers. In honor of the chef who cooked salt, it got its name - table salt. The boiling process lasted a long time: the brine was brought to a boil in a special boiler, and then boiled for a day and a half. It was necessary to follow the process very carefully: the salt should not have burnt or form a crust. When the brine thickened, the heat was removed, and the salt was raked onto a wooden pallet, dried and poured into bags. This method was used until the end of the 19th century. He demanded a lot of firewood, time and effort. Therefore, salt was expensive and was called "white gold".
It is because of the lack of fuel and the depletion of salt sources that the Rostov breweries were closed at the end of the 18th century. Since 1966, this territory in the form of a circle with a radius of 43.7 meters with a salt spring in the center has been protected by the state as a landscape natural monument of regional significance.

    Peloid therapy : sapropel mud.

    Description of treatment factors

    Sulfate-chloride-magnesium-calcium-sodium water (for external and internal use) refers to the mineral natural drinking medical dining room, XIX group, Khilovsky type. Mineral water "Khilovskaya" - natural medicinal table water, extracted from the unique natural sources of the resort "Khilovo". The springs are located in the center of the sanitary protection zone, isolated from the harmful effects of the urban environment. Water is extracted from a depth of over 250 m, complies with GOST and is recommended by the Russian Scientific Center for Restorative Medicine and Balneology for drinking cure.

    Hydrocarbonate-sulphate-calcium water (for external use) refers to mineral balneological, group 2.1.2, Khilovsky type. The water contains hydrogen sulphide in standard quantities, which has an important balneotherapy value. Hydrogen sulfide rejuvenates the skin and restores its derivatives: hair, nails; enhances the exchange of cartilage, bone tissue. After a course of baths, the level of cholesterol in the blood and hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus decrease. Hydrogen sulfide affects the functional state of the central nervous system, enhances the inhibition process, and stimulates the pituitary - thyroid - ovarian system. Under the influence of hydrogen sulfide baths, blood pressure decreases and cardiac output increases, the functional state of the myocardium improves, and blood flow in the kidneys, liver, brain, and muscles increases. Hydrogen sulfide increases the amount of reduced and reduces the amount of oxidized forms of proteins, as a result of which the biosynthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol decreases. Microcirculation improves due to an increase in the volumetric velocity of muscle blood flow, a decrease in perivascular edema, a decrease in platelet aggregation and blood viscosity. All this is an important link in the mechanism of therapeutic action in ischemic heart disease, cerebral ischemia, peripheral vascular disease and other diseases of the cardiovascular system.

    Chloride-sodium-bromine-boron brines (for external use) belong to the mineral balneological. Baths affect the leading systems of the body: nervous, cardiovascular, sympathetic-adrenal and pituitary-adrenal. They create favorable conditions for the formation of compensatory-adaptive and restorative reactions of the body. The main mechanism of action of these baths is the deposition of mineral salts on the skin and the formation of the so-called "salt coat", which is a source of long-term irritation of receptors and a reflex effect on functional systems. The presence of a "salt coat" on the skin determines the peculiarities of heat exchange in sodium chloride baths, which are characterized by greater body heating than in other baths. An increase in body temperature causes a compensatory vasodilatory reaction, an increase in oxygen absorption. An increase in cutaneous blood circulation is accompanied by the release of deposited blood, an increase in the volume of circulating blood and the flow of venous blood to the heart, a decrease in blood viscosity, and a normalization of blood pressure. Baths improve all kinds of exchange. Due to the bromine, which is part of the water, the baths have a pronounced sedative effect, enhance the inhibitory processes in the cerebral cortex. They normalize immune properties, improve cerebral and general hemodynamics, affect the tone of peripheral veins.

    Sapropel mud in the sanatorium "Khilovo" is extracted from the bottom of the lake, located 12 km from the resort. Therapeutic mud belongs to sapropelic, low-sulphide, low-mineralized, medium-ash peloids, which have balneological value. The therapeutic value of sapropel is determined by its high thermal properties, the presence of a large amount of organic substances - humic, bitumen, as well as vitamins (B1, B12, C, D, E), enzymes, hormones, iron sulfides. Mud therapy actively improves all types of metabolism, microcirculation, tissue trophism, promotes healing and bone growth, eliminates the inflammatory process without damaging beneficial microflora, relaxes muscle and nerve fibers, and has a powerful immunomodulatory effect.

    Mineral water

    Description of treatment factors

    The composition of the lake water is sulfate-chloride, sodium-potassium, with an increased content of magnesium, slightly alkaline. The salt content is not the same over its area. It is highest in the central part of the lake, where it is 18-20 grams per liter of moisture, near the shores, especially close to the mouth of the Son River. The salt content is usually a few grams lower. With depth, the mineralization of moisture increases everywhere, and in the central part of the Shire, the bottom stratum is already brines. The main healing factors of Lake Shira are its mineral water, mud, underground mineral springs and the very healthy climate of these places. These factors are commonly used in conjunction with all conventional healing methods. A very important healing factor of the Shira resort is its medicinal and drinking mineral water. It is taken orally and, depending on the time of its intake and temperature, has a different effect on the patient. Taken internally, it irritates the receptors of the gastrointestinal tract, reflexively affects the central nervous system. After absorption, the constituent elements of water lead to some changes in the body, which entails complex, beneficial effects. In this case, cold water introduced into the stomach causes an increase in secretory activity, and heated to 40-45 degrees, on the contrary, inhibits it. The same goes for appointment times.

    Description of treatment factors

    Climate

    Sanatorium "Varzi-Yatchi" is distinguished by a special microclimate, characteristic only of this area. Its climate is characterized as temperate continental with pronounced seasons. According to the bioclimatic passport of the territory, "the landscape and climatic conditions of the sanatorium are a high-quality natural healing factor for use in resort and health-improving practices for climate therapy and climate prevention of diseases."

    Rare, in its composition, peat mud - "living medicine", extracted from the peat bog located on the territory. According to the conclusion of the Russian Scientific Center for Restorative Medicine and Balneology (Moscow, 2007), this mud should be classified as a curative low-mineralized low-sulphide high-ash peat mud. It is unique in its composition and medicinal properties and is regarded as a reference. On the territory of Russia it is "the only representative of this type used for medicinal purposes." The balneological value of mud is due to its very high thermal and plastic properties, the presence of therapeutically active mineral components: sulfides, free hydrogen sulfide, water-soluble salts, a large amount of organic substances, including balneologically valuable - humic acids and their salts, sulfonic acids, bitumen, as well as the presence of organic biostimulants - lipids, vitamins, enzymes, hormones, etc.

    Mineral water.
    Currently, the "Varzi-Yatchi" sanatorium has a varied hydromineral base, which is represented by 4 types of waters:

    1. Low-mineralized sulfate sodium-magnesium-calcium composition, with a slightly alkaline reaction of the medium (This water is of particular interest, since it contains silver ions. The results of clinical studies indicate the high efficiency of this water in the treatment of patients with diseases of the stomach, biliary and urinary tract, as well as in the treatment of diabetes and gout).

    2. Low-mineralized sulphate calcium composition.

    3. Medium mineralized chloride-sulphate-calcium-sodium composition.

    4. Strong brine of sodium chloride composition (The peculiarity of the brines of the sanatorium "Varzi-Yatchi" is that they do not contain hydrogen sulfide. This expands the possibility of their use in the treatment of many diseases, in particular the cardiovascular system, upper respiratory tract and diseases of the female reproductive system. spheres.)

    Mineral natural radon water

    Description of treatment factors

    For more than a hundred years, progressive balneology has been using the unique chemical element Radon to treat various diseases. However, until now, methods of treatment with the use of radon do not deservedly remain in the shadows against the background of the use of other natural factors, such as mineral waters and mud. On the one hand, this gives Radon some mystery and elitism, on the other, many patients suffering from rather serious ailments are deprived of the opportunity to try on themselves his wonderful, truly effective and unique therapeutic power. We want to fill this gap and give our potential clients the opportunity to learn about the existence of such a method of treatment as radon therapy and to acquaint in more detail with all its nuances. We can talk about two ways of action of radon - neuro-reflex, through the nerve endings of the skin, and humoral - the penetration of radon with blood and lymph flow into the subcutaneous fat and other organs and tissues. In 2.5 hours after the radon procedure, radon is completely removed from the body, and after another two hours, daughter products disappear. Within a few hours after a radon bath in the skin and, to a lesser extent, in other organs and tissues, as a result of alpha irradiation, a state of tissue fluid ionization occurs, which changes the direction and intensity of biochemical processes, which serves as a trigger mechanism for the restoration of the impaired functions of human organs and tissues.

    The brine of the Medvezhye lake is of sulphate-chloride magnesium-sodium type (the concentration of salts is not inferior to To the dead sea - Israel)

    Diseases of the nervous system: neuroses, neurasthenia.

    Diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteochondrosis, sciatica, the consequences of fractures and injuries, ostomyelitis.

    Respiratory diseases: bronchitis, bronchial asthma, tonsillitis, etc.

    Diseases of the female genital area: inflammatory processes, dysfunction of the ovaries, infertility of various etiologies.

    Diseases of the male genital area: chronic prostatitis, infertility.

    Treatment of frequently ill children: tonsillitis, bronchitis, increased immunity.

    Scoliosis, poor posture, flat feet, cerebral palsy.

    Treatment of postoperative adhesions, post-burn scars.

    Natural healing factors

    Mineral water, mud.

    Natural mineral waters and curative mud are the main wealth of the Usolsk sanatorium.

    Description of treatment factors

    Mineral water
    The composition of the water is unique. According to the analyzes, "Institute for Problems of Microelectronics Technology and Highly Pure Materials of the Russian Academy of Sciences" Moscow Region, "Institute for Ecology and Evolution named after A.N.Severtsev" Moscow, "Tomsk Scientific Research Institute of Balneology and Physiotherapy" Tomsk, Usolsk baths are called, according to the main ingredients, - bromine-chloride-sodium, their medicinal properties are enhanced by the high content of hydrogen sulfide, as well as bromine, iodine, silicic acid, potassium, manganese, strontium for better absorption of calcium.

    The natural water of the Usolsk springs, traveling through the underground labyrinths, washes the found rocks, is saturated with underground salts, minerals, gases and acquires healing properties, and then rises to the surface with springs and springs. The uniqueness of the Usolskoye field is the natural pressure with which water jets rise to the surface of the reservoir. Two artesian wells 500 meters deep open a free path for water to the surface of the earth.

    Another powerful healing factor in the Usolye Sanatorium is peat-silt mud.
    They are mined 12 km from the Usolye Sanatorium from the Solenoye Lake. The history of the appearance of medicinal mud in the Usolsky region is also very interesting. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, the British, conducting geodetic surveys, drilled a well 12 kilometers from Usolye. The water taken from it for testing, according to some parameters, was not suitable for the extraction of salt, and the foreigners abandoned the well. The water flowing outside caused a lot of trouble for the locals, and they threw stones at the artificial spring. However, moisture still seeped out and gradually a small peat bog formed in this place, which was saturated with brine for more than a hundred years. In 1928, the "hundred-year-old" mud from this place was studied for its medicinal properties and since then has been actively used to treat various diseases. It should be noted that the reserves of healing mud are not dimensionless. It is estimated that they will only last for the coming decades. So, those who want to experience their healing properties on themselves should hurry up. Based on the study of therapeutic mud by the Tomsk Research Institute, according to the main classification criteria, the mud can be recognized as corresponding to mineralized sulphide peat therapeutic mud.

    Mineral water

    Description of treatment factors

    Mineral water
    In 1975, 2 wells were drilled on the territory of the Karacharovo sanatorium center to provide a hydromineral base and treat diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. According to hydrochemical studies, the mineral water taken out of the well belongs to low-mineralized sulfate-magnesium-calcium waters. (XII group Ashgabat waters).

    It is extracted from a well with a depth of 480 m, where no contact with the upper aquifers is guaranteed;

    The chemical composition of the water has not changed since the beginning of the well operation. The place of accumulation of water was carried out in lime-gypsum caves, which are a natural filter that provides crystal purity and a refreshing spring taste;

    Toxic trace elements, including nitrogen compounds, heavy metals, as well as radionuclides, have not been detected or their concentration is significantly lower than the maximum permissible standards;

    The water is low-mineralized, is actively used as a table water, and does not taste salty. It contains only the amount of mineral salts necessary for treatment, which does not lead to their excessive accumulation in the body.

    By its chemical composition, it is a unique product of nature.

    At the International Congress of Balneology in 1996 in Moscow she was awarded a diploma, and entered the top ten of the represented 160 waters of the world.

    Also on the territory of the sanatorium center "Karacharovo" since 1970 mineral natural drinking table water has been produced. According to hydrochemical studies, mineral water belongs to weakly mineralized fresh waters of hydrocarbonate magnesium-calcium composition. Natural drinking table water "Karacharovo" is used without boiling as a table and as a basis for cooking, drinks, diluting juices and concentrates.

    Distinctive features in comparison with other analogues:

    It is extracted from a well with a depth of 180 m, where no contact with the upper aquifers is guaranteed;

    The chemical composition of the water has not changed since the beginning of the well operation;

    Water "Karacharovo" is unique for its chemical composition, balance of mineral properties that have a healing effect on the human body, has a beneficial effect on digestion, removes toxins from the body, refreshes and tones;

    "Karacharovo" makes up for the lack of useful minerals and microelements, which are so necessary for the health of an adult, and are indispensable in the formation and growth of a child;

    Mineral water (brine) for external use
    The main therapeutic factor in the sanatorium is mineral water (brine) for external use from a well drilled on the territory of the sanatorium complex. It is fed directly to the medical building, to the bathroom department.
    In accordance with the MU of the Ministry of Health of Russia No. 2000/34 "Classification of mineral waters and therapeutic mud for the purpose of their certification", the mineral waters of the well are classified as bromine chloride sodium strong brines, which can be used for dispensing external balneological procedures with appropriate dilution.

    Sanatorium "Sosnovy Bor" offers spa treatment using sulfide-silt lake-spring mud from the floodplain of the Ivkinka River, containing up to 1500 mg / kg of hydrogen sulfide, impregnated with highly mineralized sodium chloride-sulfate water from its own well.
