Waterfall Sayok Noah and the Railway of Death. "Paradise on the Kwai River"

 • 22.06.2021

At seven in the morning for us began the second day on the river Quai.

We have breakfast, have made some more beautiful pictures river Quai And at 7:30 pm left the hotel.

In front of our departure already looked out of the sun. I looked around the hotel - he drowned in the greenery more than I first seemed at dusk.

Our first stop on this day was at the local pharmacy, where you could buy different means of Thai medicine. In Thailand, pharmacology is represented mainly by natural drugs made from natural components without adding chemistry. True, the price in this pharmacy was not cheaply speaking. It was worth expecting it, because it was not for nothing that we were brought here. These pharmacies and shops always have an agreement with travel agencies so that they have taken tourists to them. But we had a bonus - free tasting of the local medicinal tincture! The tincture was stronger vodka, and there was eight in the morning! So a lot we did not drank her probably in this and there was an idea when we were lucky here so early. And then no tincture would be enough

The next item - and again tasting. This time we were brought to the tea shop. At first, everyone was asked to try different varieties of Thai tea.

And they told in what cases you need to drink different tea. They even distributed memo. It turned out in some types of tea a lot of healing properties.

After tasting, you could buy any tea favorite. Many began to roam simply bags. We bought only palm tea - very fragrant!

After the tea store, I have already started to think about what will be only on shopping all day. But the next official stops were hot radon sources.

In general, this place must be visited in medicinal purposes. Sources are three pools with different water temperature: 45, 35 and 30 degrees. Next to them proceeds the cool river. Swimming in the sources must be alternating with swimming in the river - then the maximum healing effect is achieved. Without a break in the pools you can be no more than 5 minutes, and the total swimming time should not exceed 40 minutes. Otherwise, you can apply more harm than good. Besides, in radon sources Cannot be immersed by people with heart disease.

I redeemed in all three pools, and Elvira limited himself to the most "cool".

This place is especially popular with tourists from Japan. How I seemed to me there most.

View of radon sources and the river from above:

In fact, there is still a fourth pool, but access to it is closed with ordinary people. Only Buddhist monks bathes in it.

Having embarked in hot springs and cooling in the river we moved on. We were waiting for another waterfall. Called O. Sayok Noah. He has no seven levels like waterfall Eravan, There are no wild jungle around, but it does not make it less interesting. Waterfall very beautiful!

TO Sayok Noah Very easy to get - it is just 50 meters from the road. The waterfall is very popular with local residents and especially in children.

IN Kanchanaburi Locals are less accustomed to tourists than in Pattaya. Many white-skinned people in swimsuits immediately pay attention. This is especially true of beautiful girls - they are immediately trying to take a picture. And these are Thai women and children, not men! Local kids constantly tried to photograph Elvira.

It is very convenient to swim in the waterfall. Hundreds of years, the water drove stones so that they became very smooth, there are no sharp corners - so do not hurt.

Next to the waterfall is located several merchants - you can buy something to eat. Also sell tea and dried chili pepper.

And here there is something like a monument to the old railway and an old locomotive.

On the waterfall, we were not long (now there is a minus of group excursions - you do not have time to enjoy the beauty of nature, as you already move on) and went to the village of elephants.

We have already managed to look at the elephants when you visited and even rode them in. But here elephants were in more natural conditions - among the jungle.

At first we showed a show with elephants. In principle, all the same as we saw during the visit to Nong Nuc. The numbers are the same, but the scale is smaller. But here everything happened in the conditions of the village, closer to nature - so I even liked it.

After the show of the elephants, it was possible to feed or take pictures with them for 20 baht per person (Nong Nuchi this pleasure was worth 100 baht!).

Taking a picture of Elvira. We went to ride on the jungle elephants. The route passed through the trees where Tamaroka and the river were growing in which we bathed along with elephants. Elephants gained water in a trunk and watered us like a hose very refreshing! By the way, think about the phototechnology in advance - it is better to put it in a waterproof package.

During riding, the elephant driveman can get drown and pofotkat you on your camera. But of course not free - the price of the question is 100 baht. It seemed to us somehow expensive (in Nong Nuchi we gave 20 baht). In addition, local workers are photographed from the outside, and after skiing they offer to buy photos in the frame for 150 baht.

IN Thailand This is a very common phenomenon when local enterprising residents take pictures of you on your camera while visiting some sights, and then offer to buy photos in the frame for 100-200 baht. You certainly decide to take or not, but more often tourists buy them - in memory of Thailand.

After skating, we once again fed the elephants and the little worsen and went on - in "City of Monkeys". It represents the Buddhist temple next to which there is a lot of monkeys. There are always tourists here, so the monkeys got used to the free killer and they divorced here a lot.

Nearby you can buy different feeding fruits at a price of 10-20 baht. It seemed to us that the monkeys here were scrambled back from last summer the fruits ate selectively - a slightly pitched ejected. It was very distinguished from the island of monkeys, which I told about in my article :. There are monkeys just pulled me out of hand!

Since communication with the monkeys was not in a novelty, we did not hold here for a long time and raging fruit purchased, went to our bus.

"City of Monkeys" He was the last point of visiting on our trip. Impressions for these 2 days we were enough with an excess! Now it was only necessary to drive 300 kilometers and we again in Pattaya. We drove through the outskirts of Bangkok, so even in the traffic jam managed to stand.

In Pattaya, we returned at 20:00 - already hemnelted. The evening spent in a small restaurant next to our hotel - shared their impressions.

Poster to the film "Bridge over the River Kwai"

The worldwide fame of this river brought the film "Bridge over the Kwai River", published in a wide range in the 1960s. The key scenes of this picture were removed on the right tributary of the KHW River. After the release of the film, the river began to call not KxE, but Khweii or Kawi on the name of her small tributary.

The growing popularity of the river has become a reason for making a decision on the official renaming of the river in Khweii. Later in these places, another famous film was filmed - "Deer Hunter.

River Kwai in Thailand Bridge over the river Kwai

Rest on the river

Standard tourist packages offer a very exciting and diverse holiday on the Kwai River. Each tourist can find something interesting for himself. The duration of the program is on average two days and one night. During this time, you can fully plunge into the beauty of the local nature, taste the exquisite, spicy Thai cuisine, to touch the national traditions and culture of the Thai people.

Journey to the River Kwai allows for several days to tear away from the beach, serene, monotonous rest and get closer to this bright, Asian country. Local places are attractive for both youth and people of mature age. A variety of adventures are waiting for everyone. In the course of this journey, it will be moved on different types of transport - buses, boats, boats, dams from bamboo. Somewhere, of course, you have to walk and even moving the flood (those who wish to do this).

Floating Laman Saduak

Attractions of the first day of traveling to the River Kwai

The journey begins from Pattaya in the town of Kanchanaburi, the road takes about six hours on a tourist bus. Of course, travel companies fill the program only with some sights. On the main, most popular of them should be stopped in more detail.

The first number in the list of attractions is the so-called "Bridge of Death". During its construction, about a hundred workers died. During World War II, the bridge was destroyed by a bombing projectile. Then he was restored, and today it is a monument resembling the serious consequences of the war.

Not far from the bridge, you can find a curious cave in which the giant statue of the Buddha is located. This place is also one of the most visited among tourists heading towards the Kwai River. After the cave, people can look at coconut plantation and farmer's house.

Next, the route should visit the floating market - the Laman Saduak. You can get to it only by boat. Numerous souvenirs, local fruits and vegetables can be purchased from local traders directly from boats.

Buddha statue in Gotho Cave

Approaching the destination, tourists can also be invited to visit a teak factory. Wealthy guests can purchase furniture, paintings and various decorative elements made by hand.

A little rested after lunch, travelers are sent to the local sanctuary - Sayok Yai, are refreshing in the water of the local waterfall. It is further recommended to visit the farm specializing in the dilution of elephants. Animals can be fed by bananas and see the show with their participation.

Finally, tourists arrive on the Kwai River. You can order a bungalow for the night or a room in a floating hotel. Many are melted to it on bamboo rafts, and someone and climb. Calm holiday on the river ends the first day of travel.

Health procedures of the second day of travel

On the second day, guests are invited to visit the thermal sources of Khan dates. It is believed that water in them helps to improve the condition of people who have any problems with the musculoskeletal system. Two pools are open for tourists, the temperature of which is 40-45 degrees. In general, in each of the sources, the temperature level is different, in one it can fluctuate at all twenty degrees, and in the next - forty.

To achieve the maximum effect of this procedure, it is recommended to pre-immerse yourself in the cold water of the river. In order to diversify the rest, you can visit the Local Lekary shop, which is close to the sources. It trades various ointments, medicines and healing balms. It is worth noting that traditional medicine in this country is quite high quality, since the production and sale of a harmful or inefficient drug "Healer" may be executed.

After dinner, tourists usually offer to visit a pineapple farm or waterfall of Sayok Noi. He has an incredibly beautiful view, and the water literally ice. Return to the floating hotel on the Kwai River, and then in Pattaya take the second half of the day.

Let's start with the fact that such an excursion is better to prepare. Yet it is two-day. Here is a list of things that necessarily take with you if you are going to Kwai.

1. Bottle of water

2. Be sure to eat something. Will feed, but several sandwiches will not be superfluous

3. Photocopy of passport (useful when settling in the hotel)

4. Swimsuit / smelting and towel. There will be three places where you can and need to swim. And if you get out of the sanctuary in working condition, then four

5. Well, at least 1000 baht with you per person. Seduisans will buy something much.

Excursion to the Kui River is incredibly popular. It includes some interesting (and not very) objects of visiting, overnight stay at the hotel on the water and a lot of impressions from a two-day trip. You can buy an excursion in any Pattaya's tourist bureau. There are a lot of Russian tourists, so Russian-speaking groups are collected without problems. We were on the choice of 2 options - with dinners (2400 baht) and without them (2200 baht). The whole group took with dinners. As it turned out later, our guide was greatly surprised that such excursions were sold without lunches.

Early in the morning (4-5 hours) you from the hotel takes a big bus to 50 or minivan for 12 people. We, fortunately, lucky, was 2 minivans. It is clear that to go a small group at times more comfortable. Of the insignificant minuses, only the fact that the guide had half the way to spend with us, and the second half in another minivan, to tell the group about the same information.

The road leads through the outskirts of Bangkok. At the same time it is curious that in the Bangkok itself such excursions on the Kui River in Russian. Only English-speaking groups are collected. Well, maybe chinese more.

After a couple of hours after sending a stop for breakfast on a gas station. Food there is not for sale, only tea / coffee machines

We are going on and the first stop on coconut farm. We were shown how the coconut grows, which and how they are doing from it, and also showed the life of a rich owner. In Thailand, the wealth of people is often determined by the teese floor. There, in the farm, there is a small trading shop, where you can buy goods, mainly anyway related to the use of coconut. The price tag is overestimated, naturally. In principle, this is not the most interesting part of a two-day excursion. There is nothing to photograph here

1

After 20 minutes, the next stop - floating market (Damnoen Saduak) in the province of Thonburi. It is more interesting here. The group is seated in engine boats (8 people each) and we sail through narrow dirty channels. Periodically, on the way, you stop near the shores, where goods are sold, somehow connected with Thailand on an overestimated several times. Basically, all souvenirs of the type of elephants, products from silk and teak wood, fruit ... Well, a lot of things. Film pokatushki half an hour.

Very popular among tourists this market has become in the 70s of the last century. It was then that a film about James Bond was released (then Roger Moore was played) "Man with a golden gun." James Bond sailed on these channels.

Perhaps the more correct atmosphere will give our small video

We are going on and the next stop - temple Cave Tigra (Wat Tham SUA) and temple Cave on the Hill (Wat Tham Khao Noi). It can be said that these are two temples that make up a single temple complex. Accordingly, both are on one hill. The first is built in Thai style, the second - in Chinese. It looks very beautiful, expensive, pompous or something.

Once in the title of one of the temples mentioned Tiger. So it is simply obliged to be a tiger figure, logical. There are many such here. Why exactly the Tiger - tells the legend, according to which the tiger lived near the foot of the hill, scared everyone. But one day a monk came here in search of shelter from hostilities. The tiger monk did not touch. Hence everything went. Then there were one other monks and they founded both temples thanks to the alms.

On the hill you can climb on a bright staircase consisting of 157 steps. Looks like a staircase as a cheerful escalator. Raising the stairs, you can clean the soul, if, of course, you believe in it all. Alternatively, you can the right to climb along the path or left with the help of a funicule.

1

At the foot of the mountain there is a cave in which the monk lived. And next to the cave a throne room. In the hall, in addition to visual beauty, there are mannequins of monks.

At the top of the hill everything is very beautiful. Especially picky will say that the horizon is littered, but it is such a trifle in comparison with this beauty.

If that temple was clearly Chinese, then these are thai motifs.

From the territory of the temple complex the view of the rice fields

The next stop is one of the most interesting and colorful - eravan National ParkWaterfalls

Before the entrance to the park is parking for buses / minivans. Near several souvenir shops and under a small tent of a buffet, which is included in the cost of the tour. All excursion groups have lunch here. The choice of food is small, but it is quite possible - rice, potato soup, vegetable salad, fish, chicken, pineapples, watermelons. Morse drinks and tea.

I would like to notice that the buffet and visiting waterfalls give 3 - 3.5 hours, so expect time. And of course take bathing facilities.

Eravan National Park consists of seven levels of waterfalls. The overall distance from the input to the last level is about two kilometers. It seems that a little and easily can be time to inspect everything, but as it turned out, someone lacks time. The fact is that the trail is mountainous, many steps. Places a very difficult rise. Yes, and the temptation to swim and notice at every level takes a lot of time.

The first level is called Lai Khyn Rank.

Second - Wang Macha. Smoothly moves from the first level. On the Internet they write that above the second level can be passed only with a bottle of water. You can not take with me. We did not have food with them, but I did not meet any acceleration points.

Well, the seventh level. Phu Pha Eravan. It's especially physically climbing here. Somewhere you have to jump over the raging streams of water, somewhere climbing the vertical stairs. Tests are standing here to climb. At the seventh level really very beautiful. Naturally, all coming here are bathed here. Warm water. Depth ... well, meter 2-3. There are slippery stones, which can be climbed on the mountain. You can simply shift, put under the waterfall. And on top of you look curious monkeys. In this regard, at the seventh level, carefully with its own things. They simply can steal local macales. Also right at the seventh level you can see the "End of Trail" sign - the end of the trail.

5

Time to visit waterfalls and bathing is limited. At 16 hours all begin to drive down. This is a safety technique, it just begins to darken. That is why if you set out the goal to climb the seventh level, then do not bathe on others. Just made a few pictures and go further. Going down, you can already pofotkat even if the time allows

1

Waterfalls generally produce a very strong impression. The main disadvantage is a little time if you drive with a tour.

Next our goal - sayok Nooy waterfall and railway death. Riding here 40 minutes from Eravan. This stop is literally for 10-15, if you come to drought.

We see the locomotive. It is established in memory of the Thai-Burmese railway. The road was needed by the Japanese to join the Siamese Bay and the Andaman Sea for the land for the supply of their troops during World War II. The railway was built prisoners of war. Both local and prisoners from other countries. Built the road literally for the year. The working conditions were hellish, more than one hundred thousand people of various nationalities died. Hence such a name. Soon the road was destroyed and only partially restored at the moment. Somewhere by a third of the total length. The locomotive is just a memory, a certain symbol, but if you penetrate the history of the place, you can completely look at this place. If you are traveling with a guide - in such a place it will be simply indispensable.

In general, I strongly recommend watching the movie "Bridge over the Kwai River" This excursion has become popular thanks to this magnificent film. 7 Oscars are talking about themselves

Literally a few meters from the steam locomotive is a waterfall of Sayok Noi. Unfortunately, by the time of our arrival it is just ... drying. As the guide told us, there was no such drought here for a long time. Therefore, on the Internet you can find a lot of spectacular photos of the waterfall, and it appeared simply in the form of a large stone mountain

3

Through the road you can see the mini market. Here you can buy something to eat, and at the same time see the process of cooking chips. Very fascinating.

Next, we are going to settle at the hotel. It happens quite early. I can't remember exactly. Probably somewhere to 7, a maximum of 8 pm, you will already be on the spot. Two options are offered to choose from hotel on water And hotel on earth. Of our group, only two girlfriends have chosen a hotel on Earth. All the rest wanted to live in a floating hotel, which is not surprising. The floating hotel is called "Paradise on River Kwai", which gave the name to this story. Around the hotel, firstly, the jungle, secondly, the arrival will be darken, so it is strictly prohibited for the territory of the hotel. When registering is asked as a passport, but in fact enough photocopies. In no case do not take the original passport on this trip. Only a copy. At the entrance something like Hall, here for a tourist is provided with dinner (and in the morning breakfast) on the buffet system. Time for dinner is more than enough - somewhere 2.5 hours from the moment of arrival.

3

Rooms are small rooms. As if in the mini-hotel you are, but on the water. Huge rafts are connected and stand close to each other. In order not to float (the current is very strong) rafts are tied with ropes to the shore. Coconut wood houses themselves under the straw roof. When we were driving, they were ready for the fact that there would be no amenities. But there were a toilet, and shower (they are combined), and light. There is an opportunity overnight to podzarate your cameras and phones, even Wi-Fi is with an excellent signal, although we thought that nothing would not have it, so they tried to save on frames on the first day to have enough and on the second. That is, if you think that there will be a complete immersion in the jungle atmosphere with the absence of electricity, it will not be exactly so. Nevertheless, all this setting is very colorful and produces an indelible impression. As I learned later, there are no numbers without electricity, but they are more expensive.

Removed a little video on site

Since the hotel is on the water, then the houses are swaying slightly, the noise of water is heard. It produces soothing, slightly sluting effect. Fall asleep instantly. On the territory of the hotel, by the way, offer a massage service (she discusses even when you go here in the bus). The cost of the 300 baht session per hour, 600 - 2 hours. I highly recommend visiting at least an hour and go immediately after check-in. You go into a large room, externally reminiscent of the barn, take off all unnecessary (optional) go to the mattress and during the time paid, you are massaged specially arriving for this masseuse from neighboring Myanmar. We were told that the massage is the only thing they can in this life. But even if so, they do it awesome. All the bones are remembered, I personally liked me. You leave this "barn" as if reborn.

The darker, the time is the whole atmosphere

2

The next morning, early rise - at 6 am. Sooo cold, to tremors. The idea that soon it is necessary to jump into the water somehow does not warm at all. At 6.30 breakfast buffet. It is necessary to eat quickly, as somewhere at 7 am everyone takes with them all their things and sit in minivan. We are going 10 minutes along the river Kawi upstream of the river. There are planted, we move into bathing and life jackets (those who will swim. And it's not everyone wants), come to a small pier and sit down (you can stand) in a huge raft. It's hot tea on the raft, it's still cold. As it turned out, there are much warmer in water

The raft has a place where you can decompose things. The raft himself is tied to the category. The boat pulls it upstream of the river and after some time everyone will jump off. The boat with a raft is floating back to the pier, and all the speed pushed into the water at a convenient speed of 3 kilometers towards the pier. Left jungle, right jungle, somewhere around the corner of Myanmar

Looks like this swim pretty funny

People floats at different speeds, someone will not wait quickly, although I do not understand what kind of buzz. I walked and wait ... In this case, everything is sailed, since the course is quite strong. But periodically brings to the side, closer to the shore. This is especially felt on turns, there anyway should be attentive. Sometimes at the time of swimming legs hurt some bushes. In principle, nothing terrible but pleasant little. Very preferably. In such a swim in such swims in the end, men who can insulate girls floating aside. It was also necessary to protect them.

And even closer to the pier a small whirlpool. It does not carry any danger, but it is not always possible to overcome him from the first attempt. Therefore, jokes about the next penalty circle of Anton Shipulin seems quite harmless.

And on the shore we are intelligent plants.

Next stop - tea ceremony. We are given to try several types of tea, talk about them. All the proposed tea is also grown here. What teas liked - you can buy. For example, I liked the taste of milk tea, and I didn't like blue at all. Each of the choices carries some kind of healing role. At the very least, we tell us so and write about it in the description

Further we go to thermal (rodon) sources - one more place. Where must be redeemed. Sources consist of three small pools of different temperatures (30, 35 and 45 degrees) and separately next to them a very cold lake. It is believed that sources have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system. Well, the forces are attached. And in each of the sources, it is not recommended to be more than 3 minutes. We advised to first plunge into the most "cold" of them (where 30 degrees), then in cold water, then in the middle, then again in cold water. And to get stop in the hottest source. All this is done for contrast, to achieve a greater effect. While you swim, you are films a local photographer and when you exit from the territory of sources, can purchase yourself in a simple frame for 100 baht. If you are successful - I advise you to take.

). Park, 958 km2, stretched along both shores of the large river Kway Noi (Mat Nam Khwae Noi); It was founded in 1969. The significant area of the protected area is occupied by hills, a height of 300-400 m, which made mixed deciduous and dry evergreen forests mixed with bamboo groves. A mountain range passes through the park, up to 1000 m high. The highest mountain Sai Yok - Rae (RAE), it reaches 1125 m of heights. There are a lot of caves and waterfalls in the park. In the fuses of the jungle, tigers live, woved elephants, tapir tall. However, only a small plot of "root" and safe, but very beautiful forest is open to visitors. Tourists can explore the surrounding caves and waterfalls. For this purpose, trails are laid in the park, and on the banks of the river and directly on the water are expensive and not very hotels, bungalows, restaurants. In the rest of the reserve of the road, no one is worried about the life of the forest inhabitants.

Weather

The park is open for visiting all year round. However, the best time for travel is the period from November to March, when a pleasant, dry and not too hot weather is installed. In rivers, water is heated to 22-24 ° C. The rainy season begins in May and lasts until October. The hottest period lasts from February to April.

Most Popular Attractions Park

Tourist trails are laid in the park, walking on which you can get acquainted with the rainforest, meet some local inhabitants, listen to birds singing and cicadic striking. There are many bizarre caves, walls, vaults and floors of which cover the monstruational formations of stalactites and stalagmites. With low rock outcrops of the hills are broken by the waterfalls of the river and river. There are thermal radon sources in the park.

Waterfall Sai Yok Yai (Sai Yok Yai Waterfall) will be lowered from thirty-meter height, at the foot of forming a bowl in which you can swim. On his top lead steps. If you go along the path, about 700 m, you can detect the source of a river that born si yoke yoke. It looks like a huge spring, but with rather warm water. Near the waterfall, the old steam locomotive is installed - a memorial monument that celebrates the place where the construction of the death road ceased. In the days of World War II through the wild jungle, now the land of Sayok Park, the Japanese tried to pave the railway canvas, the famous death road. A lot of prisoners and the civilian population of Burma and Thailand died on the platforms, and the forest array was injured. Thanks to the efforts of the country's government, the forest is gradually restored. The waterfall itself Sai Yok Ya is located near the station we have a current, a lively tourist destination, where there are a lot of shops and cafes. Walking from the waterfall you can find monkeys-beggars who are happy to take bananas and corn from tourists. True, care must be taken, animals can snatch directly from the hands of any item you like, for example, a camera aimed at them, sometimes even biting especially unceremonious guests.

Sai Yok Noah (Sai Yok Noi Waterfall) is small, the height of the water drop is only 10 m, but a very spectacular waterfall. His main feature is that it drops the stream not into the bowl, but directly to the Kwae Noi River. Above the waterfall hangs a thick forest canopy, the impression arises that the overall water is seeping directly through the trees. The beauty of this place of squeezer in Thai culture. Sai Yok Noi is also known in the fact that once the Rama V itself was bought here (1853 - 1910) - the King of Thailand, known as the epithet "Great Favorite King." He is considered one of the most worthy rulers of Siam (1238 - 1932) - the largest Thai state in Indochite, which included the vassal states of Cambodia, Lanna, Laos, Peg, as well as parts of Malaysia. During the years of the reign of Rama V, the Government of Siam modernized, conducted a number of important social reforms, but the main thing, defended the territory of the country in front of the British Empire, did not give them to French indoch. Rama V saved Siam from colonization, however, not without the help of the last emperor of the Russian Empire Nicholas II.

River Kvaay Noi. (KWAE NOI) - flows along the western borders of Thailand, but only it part is part of the National Park Sayok. Quay Noah is a very popular holiday destination among local and foreign tourists, thanks to the beauty of the surrounding nature, established infrastructure. On the banks of the river there are many cozy resort villages, in some parts of Kway Ni, right on the water, floating restaurants and hotels are organized. Here you can ride on the boat, swim in rather warm and transparent water, to go fishing. In the river, by the way, there are about one and a half dozen fish.

Cave Lava (Lawa Cave) - one of the largest caves of the area is formed by five halls, and the general depth of the galleries is 485 m. Next to Lova, just 50 m leaks the Kwai Noi River (KWAI NOI). The cave was discovered relatively recently, in 1995. Local residents tried to make it safe to visit, but to save the charm of the place - talentedly highlighted some vaults, leaving the opportunity to admire and natural light penetrating inside, in some places corrected paths and so on. The entrance to the grottoes is hidden by the bamboo forest, concrete steps lead to it. Guests meet a 3-meter buddha statue wrapped in yellow robes. The cave is interesting to suitive transitions, bizarre stalactites and stalagmites. Each of the halls is special, with his mood, no wonder they all have personal names. In the cave, as usual, the volatile mice of the horseshoes (Rhinolophus) live.

Paid entrance.

Plants and animal park

In the park, mixed deciduous, dry evergreen forests are mixed with bamboo groves. Along the rare streams on branched roots stood Pandalus (Pandanus) with a dust long rigid leaves, rustling of bugs (bauhinia picne) - beautiful flowering plants with large leaves in the form of hoof. By the way, on the coat of arms and the flag of Hong Kong depicted a stylized white flower of Buggy with five petals on a red background, and a red star is placed on each petal. From large, flowering trees here you can meet: bizarre leguminous, for example, albize, whose long stamens form a fluffy ball, and therefore resemble dandelions, beautifully blooming Lagestremia (LagerStremia) and much more. Fans of plants in the park will be interesting, but the main thing, no one has difficulties with the definition of the representative of the flora, since trees and shrubs have plates, as in the Giant Botanical Garden. True, alas, some names are confused.

Self walk in the forest better or in the morning, up to ten o'clock or in the evening, when the sun is nearing the horizon. In the afternoon it can be hot, and bright lighting smoothes colors and the world becomes like a burnt umbrella, which is very disappointing, especially if you were going to take pictures. In addition, the smaller the people, with a large number of forest inhabitants you can meet. Right on the path of the park it is easy to encounter Tupaya - small animals similar to the protein and proteins themselves called palm (Funambulus Palmarum), which in turn resemble the chipmunks. There are many birds in the park, especially wild chickens. Sometimes on the road, including Snakes appear on the road, in ravines, hide from the heat of the toad.

We continue our journey through the province of Kanchanaburi. In this post, read about the railway station "Death Road" to us Tok Sai Yok (Nam Tok Sai Yok) and about the picturesque waterfall Sai Yok Noi (Sai Yok Noi).
