"Paradise on the Kwai River." Excursion from Pattaya to the waterfall Eravan and the River Kwai

 • 22.06.2021

In the previous part of the photo language, I stopped in detail on the waterfall of Eravan, which is so cool that deserves a separate article. All parts of the report and travel plan. Now it's time to finish the report on the excursion to the Kwai River.

The most interesting thing is that you can make an online booking of this excursion to any date. I advise you to use this service, because no longer have to look for a good agency, everything can be done without moving away from the computer.

First we will make an alloy along the river. The next point of my history will be riding an elephant, then the road of death and waterfall. We also swim in hot springs and visit the church cave.

River Alloy

So, we settled at the hotel and delicious dinner. Let me remind you that we chose overnight stay in the room on the water. It was already dark, and coming out on the terrace, we did not see the river itself, but heard how a stormy stream runs, merrily.

Getting up in the morning early, to stay time to walk around the neighborhood, we again went to the terrace of our number to finally see the Kwai River. The correct name of the river - Khven. But since for tourists it is called Kwai and this name is common, in my photoranscase will appear exactly the Kwai.

Kwai appeared in all its glory: the shores are drowning in a tropical greenery, and the river itself is wide and ... brown. The color surprised me, because soon we melt on it! And to see who floats there from livelihood - it is not possible. Although the guide assures that it is safe here - in some racs there are really dangerous inhabitants. And the alloy passes through the safest of the river segments.

I decided to capture the memory:

After viewing the surroundings from our modest terrace, we went to have breakfast, and then walk through the territory. I found something interesting: the bridge on the other side of the river and the staircase to the top of the mountain. Started the rise:

It overlooks the houses in which we spent the night.

And on the rock there is a huge inscription - local attraction.

Waiting for the departure, we rushed a little around the hotel, found a swing. Local cat and here accompanies us:

The time came up, and we escort on a big raft. View from the flesh to one of the banks of the river Kwai:

Those who decided to melt on the river are issued rescue vests. I'm in the vest on the raft:

This small boat drags a huge raft on which all tourists are:

Photographed for memory until we were brought to the place where we will start our swim:

A little rolling on the raft, go down into the water. Now we are alone with water elements. Swim bystream. At first it was unusual, the visibility is bad, the water is dark, but at the same time clean. You can not even swim, but just hang out on the water, the vest perfectly performs its function of keeping afloat, and the course will still bring you to the right place.

It was fun and fine:

We were very passionate about all sorts of aquatic jokes, and at the end of the way did not notice the barrier. We did not have time to shake away from the branches of barbed plants bent. The current is strong. Anton took a picture of the moment when I was imprinted in the branch, and I was already able to take a lot from them. Zhenya crashed into them after me.

I was finished with scratches on my hand, but rather deep: sharp spikes of this plant went into me, and I had to pull them out right in the water. 🙁 In Thailand, the wounds are healing for a long time, even so small. But it all ended well, and after a while I forgot about this trouble.

They sailed to the finish: we threw ropes to make it more convenient to get to the land, and so that we did not demolish the flow further.

Elephant riding in Elephant Village

After alloy, we were given a little time to bring themselves in order and dress. In the meantime, the elephants are already in full combat readiness, and everyone is waiting for us.

For the first time I sit on the back of such a huge animal! At this point, you experience many emotions. Fear, joy, thrill and anticipation of how it will be. Sit down couples. I, of course, with Anton:

Our driver took the fotik with us and had a bunch of diverse frames.

We make selfie in memory riding on an elephant:

After skating on the jungle we descend into the river. Some elephants gained water in a trunk and splashed.

After skating, the drivers put the elephants in such a way that they could take them to take pictures and, of course, thank.

My feedback about riding on elephants is of course positive! It is incredible that you sit on your back to such a mighty animal, and he obediently goes there, where he will say. Swimming in the river on an elephant is also very funny. Recommend. Also ride the elephants on the Kwai River can be independently. The village, where we rode, is called Elephant Village. Cost, unfortunately, I do not know.

After skating, we were collected for viewing views with elephants.

Basically entertain tourists young elephants:

We have already seen the presentation of the elephant in the zoo, but they differ. Interesting.

Zhenya and Anton are involved in the presentation. Elephant clothes with Anton Hat. What is he well done 🙂

For a symbolic fee you can take a picture with an elephant! Of course, I agreed, and now I have such a photo:

Nearby discovered a gloomily, but the fruits still did not sleep, so they did not tear and try.

Tam Crase Death and Cave Road

Here is such a beauty is visible from a narrow chain:

Located in the Tam Crase cave, which is a temple for hermit monks. The cave executes wishes, be sure to make something that is particularly worried. Who knows, can really come true. 🙂

It is beautiful and cool here.

This cave is also called the "Buddha cave". Here you will see a big golden buddha. Silence reigns here and some kind of own, special atmosphere.

Many bring donations, and someone just examines.

Cave beauty:

Coming out of the cave, we go on foot along the narrow scene. This is the Thai-Burmese railway. It was built during the Second World War for the supply of troops. The construction was carried out by the prisoners and convicts. The number of dead in the process of construction was calculated with tens of thousands of people. Therefore, the road has the unofficial name "Death Railway". The railway was completely destroyed during the war, and now you can only see the restored small part of the narrow scene.

Antonio as always in his repertoire - looking for unusual poses for a photo shoot. In fact, the place is sad, and there is no particularly fun.

Hot Springs and Tea Tasting

Then we went to hot springs. On the way we see how Durian grows:

Hot springs in Kanchanaburi are three different source heat, from 38 to 45 degrees approximately. The people there, of course ... It feels that all tourists of Thailand are called here. But we found a free corner and plunged in all three sources.

In the last water is really hot. It is better not to sit for a long time.

In one of the sources, photographed into memory:

Then we proceeded on tasting Thai tea. I tried a lot, but Milk Ulong was the most delicious.

Waterfall Sai Yok Noi (Sayok Noah)

The last interesting point of our trip was the waterfall of Sayok Noi. He is not so impressive after Eravan, but also very spectacular.

It is located just 2 km from the Railway Station Nam Tok.

In fact, in the Sai Yok National Park there is at least 2 waterfalls: Sai Yok Yai and Sai Yok Lek. Tourists take to the very easily accessible and close.

The nature of Thailand is incredibly amazing. It is incredibly beautiful and tropically exotic.

That's the waterfall itself. The height of the water drop is 10 meters. But after Eravan, he did not impress me so much. It was necessary in the tour program to change them in places and first watch Sai Yok Noi. Therefore, I immediately offer to book this version of the excursion, where everything is by the mind, and first carry on Sayok, and only on the second day - on the most beautiful eravan!

Stones are very slippery, you need to be extremely neat!

The latter we saw the landmark that day was the train. Earlier, the most Thai-Burmese railway, the "Death Road" passed through the waterfall. Currently, we can see at this place a memorial in the form of a train on the railway paths. You can climb on it, view, touch and photograph.

The completion of the trip was to visit a small market and monkey monitoring on the backyards:

The results of the excursion to the river Kwai with overnight:

Without exaggeration, I will say that this is the most interesting and emotional excursion. If you have a choice to go, where to go, without thinking, take a tour of the River Kwai Plus Erawan. For two days, there are unrealistic impressions, and such different elephants, alloy, the night on the river, a teak factory, two waterfalls, tropical jungle and interesting guide stories. What is needed to charge emotions for a year ahead!

Another day we, having rested during the day at sea, went in a mini siam in the evening. They were very satisfied, so I advise you to see.

We continue our journey through the province of Kanchanaburi. In this post, read about the railway station "Death Road" to us Tok Sai Yok (Nam Tok Sai Yok) and about the picturesque waterfall Sai Yok Noi (Sai Yok Noi).
Fans of steam locomotives, history of the Second World War, and connoisseurs of beautiful nature, with a poet in verses, it is proposed to make a small excursion in the town of Sai Yok (Nam Tok Sai Yok) in the province of Kanchanaburi (Kanchanaburi), located 40 kilometers west of Kanchanaburi, Through it passes the main highway from Kanchanaburi along the Kwai River (Kwai). Not far is the Memorial Museum Hellfire Pass (Hellfire Pass), which was told.

A small town of Tok Sai Yok is famous for its Sai Yok Noi waterfall (Sai Yok Noi), which is obviously all passing tourists. A ten meter waterfall is very beautiful. Trees seem to hang from his top, thanks to which the waterfall seems to be seeping through them. A lot of decent works are made about this waterfall in Thai culture. Maybe he will inspire you great things!

In addition to the waterfall, which is watching all passing tourists, here you are in contact with the Iron "Dear Death" (Death Railway). During World War II, the Japanese began to build a railway from Thailand to Burma, which then received the name "Death Road". More information about this can be found in, where the bridge is described over the Kwai River, as well as in the Memorial Museum, which keeps the memory of the construction of the railway with sub-million workers in inhuman conditions. The railway is not completed, and subsequently the allies will bomb the part of the railway canvase and the road disassembled. Today, this railway branch has been preserved from to the station to us the current located near the town of Kanchanaburi. There are regular trains here from the capital.

Railway station for us Tok (Nam Tok)

Not far from the operating station, next to the Sai Waterfall of Yok Ni, has survived the railway station to us Sai Yok (Nam Tok Sai Yok), from which the railway canvas restored in 2004 goes to the city of Kanchanaburi in the section "Road of Death", and on the famous bridge through River Kwai.

Railway station us Tok Sai Yok

This small plot is a tourist attraction that allows you to get from Kanchanaburi to the waterfall on the preserved area of the iron "road of death" on a small excursion train.

Locomotive in Thailand

Next to the station, the Sai Yok Shock is ending with the railway tracks, symbolizing the end of the railway canvas. Guides told here about the unfinished Iron "Dear Death", and participants of the excursions take pictures of the flight of the Second World War, established here

End of the way and the locomotive of the Second World War

On the locomotive you can climb, twist different handles and pull the levers, which will be especially interested in schoolchildren

Steam locomotive is of particular interest to fans of technology

Waterfall Sai Yok Noi in Kanchanaburi

Type of waterfall at that rare moment when all tourists diverged

This low, but extremely picturesque waterfall literally fascinates the look. And you can sit in the shade for a long time and look at the flowing water streams, thinking about something beautiful.

Local residents love to relax here, and children play cool shadows

Waterfall Huai Made Hamin is considered one of the most beautiful in this part of Thailand. It is located on the territory of Srinakarin Park.

Waterfall and is characterized by extraordinary entertainment. But it is also surrounded by very picturesque surroundings. This is the territory of the Park of Srinakarin - green, thick, multilayer tropical. In fact, the waterfall looks like a very gentle stream and is divided into several levels, it is nicely stained with a multi-tier cascade from a gentle slope.

A pedestrian track is conducted to the waterfall, which can be approached to each level of the fall of the waterfall. Time when Huai Mae Hamin looks well, it is considered the period from October to April.

Waterfall Sayok Yay.

Sayok Yay is an exotic waterfall, which is especially beautiful in the rain period. It is located on the Kwai River. Sayok Yay waterfall is part of the Sayok National Park and is located at a distance of 100 kilometers from the Kanchanaburi resort.

From a height of about seven meters of water fall into the River Kwai. The waterfall is beautiful with its natural beauty in the rainy season, it is at that time Sayok Yay is the most full-breed. The flow here is quite strong.

As a rule, tourists visit this place as part of an excursion along the Kwai River, which is an alloy on convenient and comfortable rafts. Sayok Yay waterfall will allow Thailand guests to fully experience the atmosphere of this country.

Waterfall Sayok Yai.

Waterfall of Sayok Yai is a beautiful waterfall located in the National Park of Sayok. The waterfall falls down from the cliff and falls into the Kwai Noi river. This is one of the longest rivers in all Thailand. The height of the waterfall is about seven meters. Saying waterfall is famous for its crystal clear water. Its water is always cold. Its temperature does not exceed eight degrees of heat. Therefore, tourists usually do not dare to swim in its waters. Surprisingly nature that surrounds the waterfall.

Near the cliffs grow high palm trees and fruit trees. Near the waterfall can be found wild animals. The most part can be seen by monkeys. They do not come to tourists without fear and begin to spit food. There are deer and lavies here. Before the waterfall of Sayok Yai can be reached by bus and on a motorcycle. The entrance to the territory of the National Park will cost tourists in 400 baht. A few centuries ago, the Thai king of Rama V often loved to visit this place.

Waterfall Pha Tad.

PHA TAD is a single-level large waterfall, the height of the water drop of which is 25 meters.

The waterfall is located 140 kilometers from the center of Kanchanaburi, in the Srinakarin Dam National Park National Park. PA TAD is near the Thai-Burmese Railway and attracts the attention of visitors to its emerald color with water and surrounding rainforest. The waterfall has pools in which both adults and children can swim.

The territory on which the Pha Tad waterfall is located is popular among athletes and amateurs of outdoor activities. In the evening, there is calmer and less tourist groups here, so visiting the waterfall will be more enjoyable.

Sayok Noi waterfall (Sai Yok Noi)

Waterfall Saiok Noi (Sai Yok Noi) is located 2 km from Nam Tok Train Station and 60 km from Kanchanaburi on Highway 323 to Sangkhlaburi. His landscape is, almost the most beautiful place in Thailand, when the Railway of Death took place through Sayok Noah and the inhabitants used this Waterfall for rest.

Located 38 km from another famous waterfall of Sayok Yai (Sai Yok Yai).

Waterfall Erawan.

Erawan Waterfall is the attraction of Erawan National Park Park.

It is distributed to seven levels of water drop, the length of which is equal to more than 1500 meters. The waterfall has a beautiful emerald tint of water, and the territory is surrounded by a rainforest, in which you can see the varieties of wild orchids and rare trees. In order to get to the waterfall, it is necessary to go along the trail leading to the sixth level of Erawan Waterfall, from where, having risen on the cliff, you can get to the seventh level.

Lifting on the rock is heavy, however, the type of water dropping from a high height forming the water bias is worth all efforts. Erawan's waterfall received its name due to the similarity with a three-headed elephant named Eravan, existing in Hindu mythology.

Waterfall Eravan

Waterfall Eravan is located on the territory of the National Park of the same name. Interestingly, it was the park that received its name thanks to the waterfall, and not the opposite, as it usually happens.

The waterfall height of 831 meters is a 7-level cascade resembling the form of the mythical Hindu elephant Eravan - from here and the name of the waterfall. Water gathering in the pool, magnificent turquoise color. It swims fish that make the most real peeling - removing dead particles from the skin. The territory of the first cascades is the most crowded. Further level is forbidden to rush food and drink. The third cascade is distinguished by a large swimming pool, which drops water from a 10-meter height. The fourth waterfall flows from two boulders and you can roll with the water slide. By the fifth and sixth cascade, the rise becomes more difficult, and to the seventh can only be reached by a steep bamboo staircase. The brave, who will get to the top, as a reward, a stunning view of the magnificent surroundings.

Attractions Kanchanaburi

Perhaps the most popular excursion in Thailand on tourist reviews is the Kwai River. In fact, there is no such river in Thailand. And this name appeared thanks to the French writer Pierre Boyly, who in 1954 wrote the Roman "Bridge over the Kwai River", in 1957, Hollywood took a film with the same name. The film by the way received 7 Oscars. Because of such popularity, the pilgrimage of tourists in the province of Kanchanaburi began. But it was problematic to find the famous bridge, since in Thailand there are two rivers with a similar name - River Quai Noya (Noah in Tiska - Little) and the Kai Yai River (Yai Thai River), these rivers in the city of Kanchanaburi merge and form the river Mesclong, which, in turn, flows into the Siamese bay. In fact, the famous bridge is located on the Kangi Ya River. For the convenience of tourists, first in English-speaking maps, and then on the other River Kangi Yai began to call the River Kwai.

The bridge itself across the Kwai River was built in 1943. He was part of the railway connecting the city of Kanchanaburi and the Japanese military base in the Burma of Thanbyuzayat. The construction of this railway was used by labor of more than 60 thousand English, Australian, Dutch and American prisoners of war and about two hundred thousand local residents from Thailand, Burma, Singapore and Malaysia. Already in 1944, the bridge was destroyed by English aviation. After the war, he was restored as a memorial in memory of the dead (the number of those who died during the construction of the entire railway according to various data from 90,000 to 100,000 people, so it was called "dear death"). From the railway there was a small way - about 5 km, which can be driving on an old locomotive with an excursion. The plans of the Thai government - to fully restore the railway soon.

Every year the excursion to the Kwai River is becoming increasingly popular. In this regard, the number of hotels on the banks of the river grows with frightening speed and soon probably along the river there will be no one piece of truly wild and untouched nature.

So what is the excursion itself? Let's start with the fact that the program is this two-day and very saturated. More precisely, this is not one program, but several. Plus, everyone has its own distinctive features. Depending on all this, the price may vary from 2300 to 5000 baht. What should pay attention to when buying an excursion:

1. You will be lucky on a large excursion bus or on a minibus. Plus the last option - mobility, small groups, do not have to wait all for a long time, minus - not as convenient, as in a large bus, often there is a lack of lectures of a guide while driving, as the guide can go in another minibus.

2. Professional and knowing interesting to tell the guide. Well, this is how lucky, although it is from this indicator to a greater extent, the impression of the whole excursion.

3. And, directly, the excursion program itself. These excursions can include:

Coconut farm. You will learn - how to make coconut oil and palm sugar. Get acquainted with the arrangement of the Thai home from the inside.

Next - bring to the floating market. You have to ride through the channels in Thai boats. This is a whole village with residential houses on the water. Peculiar Venice, only with a Thai bias. There is also a souvenir market. It is not recommended to buy anything, in Pattaya, all this can be bought significantly cheaper.

Sayok Nooy waterfall. Water in it is not cold. Everyone bathe. In the period from January to March, the water pressure in the waterfall is very small, due to the lack of rain. Not far from the waterfall itself is the market where you can get the local chips from Thai fruits. Prices are lower than in Pattaya. The choice is richer. Through the road - the continuation of the market. Prices are even lower. There you can also find a pharmacy of traditional medicine, also with very good prices. All drugs have a Russian translation.

Waterfall Eravan (Erawan). Many consider this waterfall the most beautiful in Thailand. It is located in the National Reserve. Specially take the excursion to him, I would not recommend. All the same far from Pattaya. But as an extra excursion when traveling to Kwai - I am very advised. This waterfall is multi-tier (seven levels). Seventh-level height - 997 meters above sea level. From the first level to the seventh - 1.5 km. Who wants and will be able to overcome all seven levels should go through a narrow mountain path from the level to the level through the jungle. Almost at each level, small lakes are formed by a drop-down water flow, in which you can swim. It is here that you can get a free session, since Garra Rufa fish are found in this waterfall. True, they are a bit more larger here than in Pattaya salons Fish massage, so it will not be able to withstand them to pieces, rather it does not hurt, and Pickling. But do not be afraid to swim in the waterfall. Enough to move in water, and the fish are shirled in different directions. Information for those who decide to visit the waterfall independently - the price of the 200 Bath ticket, the time of operation from 08.00 to 16.30.

Elephant village. There are several such villages along the way. Absolutely not fundamentally - which one you visit. Just specify when buying an excursion so that the elephant riding is in total cost. The camera can be given the drivers and it will be photographing you while the way. Tea do not indulge, 20 baht enough. You can also buy bananas and feed the elephant in gratitude for your trip. After skating, you will be offered to buy a frame with your photo made of an elephant litter (frame of course, not a photo). Thais do not have a bad business at the production of environmentally friendly paper from elephant litter. It happens - a small show will show.

Buddha cave (Tham Crasea). It is about half of the programs. Inside the cave is the statue of the Buddha, they can also see the rail with a sign. Prior to this level in 1974, the level of the Kwai River was raised.

Feeding monkeys. It is better to travel in the first half of the day, in the dinner area they are already fed by other tourists and sleep. If you failed to see monkeys - do not be discouraged - there is a beach on Ko Lane, where monkeys live. You can combine useful with pleasant - and buy, and monkeys feed. When communicating with monkeys, carefully follow your things, as they love and know how to steal.

Radon sources. They are on the way to Kai a few. Can start any. Usually bring to the sources next to the mountain river. You need to plunge into one pool first in a Russian fairy tale, then in the second and, finally, in the third. Water in pools of different temperatures - from warm to hot. Swimming in the pools you need to alternate with dipping in the cold water of the mountain river. For one session, of course, you won't get a health effect, but it's still interesting to visit this event. Not recommended for people with pressure and heart disease.

Ticky factory. In this factory there are masters that cut out the dishes and furniture from teaching. Tick is one of the most durable trees. If you choose the right tree and processed correctly, with time the product is mounted. For some work at the masters, months and years are left. Everything can be bought. Naturally, this is a pleasure for the rich.

Almost always get into the tea shop and Thai pharmacy, as the guides have their own percentage. Prices are expensive, in Pattaya you can find all this is cheaper. Even if you don't buy anything, you can listen to useful information and taste tea and tincture.

Alloy. This is perhaps the most important thing in the whole excursion. Many go to Kwai precisely because of the alloy. You float on the raft and, at some point, you give you a team to jump into the water (in life jackets of course). You jump and river itself carries you. Personally, we arrived at Kawi already when it was dark and melted in a pitch darkness. Also a kind of exotic adventure - sail along the river and look at the stars. Although there is a minus here - the photos did not work. No one is forced to jump anyone, you can sail all the way on the raft. Crocodiles, by the way, are not found in this river.

Hotel. Here the choice is very rich - from houses on water without electricity (a kerosene lamp is used for lighting) to five-star hotels with pools located in the jungle. Who likes what is the exotic on the full program or comfort. Depending on this item varies and the price for a tour. Specify when buying - what will be the hotel, so that there is no extra disappointment.

Be sure to take warm things with you, in the mornings on the river is pretty cool.

More positive and excursion to the Kwai River will remain one of the brightest impressions of your stay in Thailand.

Let's start with the fact that such an excursion is better to prepare. Yet it is two-day. Here is a list of things that necessarily take with you if you are going to Kwai.

1. Bottle of water

2. Be sure to eat something. Will feed, but several sandwiches will not be superfluous

3. Photocopy of passport (useful when settling in the hotel)

4. Swimsuit / smelting and towel. There will be three places where you can and need to swim. And if you get out of the sanctuary in working condition, then four

5. Well, at least 1000 baht with you per person. Seduisans will buy something much.

Excursion to the Kui River is incredibly popular. It includes some interesting (and not very) objects of visiting, overnight stay at the hotel on the water and a lot of impressions from a two-day trip. You can buy an excursion in any Pattaya's tourist bureau. There are a lot of Russian tourists, so Russian-speaking groups are collected without problems. We were on the choice of 2 options - with dinners (2400 baht) and without them (2200 baht). The whole group took with dinners. As it turned out later, our guide was greatly surprised that such excursions were sold without lunches.

Early in the morning (4-5 hours) you from the hotel takes a big bus to 50 or minivan for 12 people. We, fortunately, lucky, was 2 minivans. It is clear that to go a small group at times more comfortable. Of the insignificant minuses, only the fact that the guide had half the way to spend with us, and the second half in another minivan, to tell the group about the same information.

The road leads through the outskirts of Bangkok. At the same time it is curious that in the Bangkok itself such excursions on the Kui River in Russian. Only English-speaking groups are collected. Well, maybe chinese more.

After a couple of hours after sending a stop for breakfast on a gas station. Food there is not for sale, only tea / coffee machines

We are going on and the first stop on coconut farm. We were shown how the coconut grows, which and how they are doing from it, and also showed the life of a rich owner. In Thailand, the wealth of people is often determined by the teese floor. There, in the farm, there is a small trading shop, where you can buy goods, mainly anyway related to the use of coconut. The price tag is overestimated, naturally. In principle, this is not the most interesting part of a two-day excursion. There is nothing to photograph here

1

After 20 minutes, the next stop - floating market (Damnoen Saduak) in the province of Thonburi. It is more interesting here. The group is seated in engine boats (8 people each) and we sail through narrow dirty channels. Periodically, on the way, you stop near the shores, where goods are sold, somehow connected with Thailand on an overestimated several times. Basically, all souvenirs of the type of elephants, products from silk and teak wood, fruit ... Well, a lot of things. Film pokatushki half an hour.

Very popular among tourists this market has become in the 70s of the last century. It was then that a film about James Bond was released (then Roger Moore was played) "Man with a golden gun." James Bond sailed on these channels.

Perhaps the more correct atmosphere will give our small video

We are going on and the next stop - temple Cave Tigra (Wat Tham SUA) and temple Cave on the Hill (Wat Tham Khao Noi). It can be said that these are two temples that make up a single temple complex. Accordingly, both are on one hill. The first is built in Thai style, the second - in Chinese. It looks very beautiful, expensive, pompous or something.

Once in the title of one of the temples mentioned Tiger. So it is simply obliged to be a tiger figure, logical. There are many such here. Why exactly the Tiger - tells the legend, according to which the tiger lived near the foot of the hill, scared everyone. But one day a monk came here in search of shelter from hostilities. The tiger monk did not touch. Hence everything went. Then there were one other monks and they founded both temples thanks to the alms.

On the hill you can climb on a bright staircase consisting of 157 steps. Looks like a staircase as a cheerful escalator. Raising the stairs, you can clean the soul, if, of course, you believe in it all. Alternatively, you can the right to climb along the path or left with the help of a funicule.

1

At the foot of the mountain there is a cave in which the monk lived. And next to the cave a throne room. In the hall, in addition to visual beauty, there are mannequins of monks.

At the top of the hill everything is very beautiful. Especially picky will say that the horizon is littered, but it is such a trifle in comparison with this beauty.

If that temple was clearly Chinese, then these are thai motifs.

From the territory of the temple complex the view of the rice fields

The next stop is one of the most interesting and colorful - eravan National ParkWaterfalls

Before the entrance to the park is parking for buses / minivans. Near several souvenir shops and under a small tent of a buffet, which is included in the cost of the tour. All excursion groups have lunch here. The choice of food is small, but it is quite possible - rice, potato soup, vegetable salad, fish, chicken, pineapples, watermelons. Morse drinks and tea.

I would like to notice that the buffet and visiting waterfalls give 3 - 3.5 hours, so expect time. And of course take bathing facilities.

Eravan National Park consists of seven levels of waterfalls. The overall distance from the input to the last level is about two kilometers. It seems that a little and easily can be time to inspect everything, but as it turned out, someone lacks time. The fact is that the trail is mountainous, many steps. Places a very difficult rise. Yes, and the temptation to swim and notice at every level takes a lot of time.

The first level is called Lai Khyn Rank.

Second - Wang Macha. Smoothly moves from the first level. On the Internet they write that above the second level can be passed only with a bottle of water. You can not take with me. We did not have food with them, but I did not meet any acceleration points.

Well, the seventh level. Phu Pha Eravan. It's especially physically climbing here. Somewhere you have to jump over the raging streams of water, somewhere climbing the vertical stairs. Tests are standing here to climb. At the seventh level really very beautiful. Naturally, all coming here are bathed here. Warm water. Depth ... well, meter 2-3. There are slippery stones, which can be climbed on the mountain. You can simply shift, put under the waterfall. And on top of you look curious monkeys. In this regard, at the seventh level, carefully with its own things. They simply can steal local macales. Also right at the seventh level you can see the "End of Trail" sign - the end of the trail.

5

Time to visit waterfalls and bathing is limited. At 16 hours all begin to drive down. This is a safety technique, it just begins to darken. That is why if you set out the goal to climb the seventh level, then do not bathe on others. Just made a few pictures and go further. Going down, you can already pofotkat even if the time allows

1

Waterfalls generally produce a very strong impression. The main disadvantage is a little time if you drive with a tour.

Next our goal - sayok Nooy waterfall and railway death. Riding here 40 minutes from Eravan. This stop is literally for 10-15, if you come to drought.

We see the locomotive. It is established in memory of the Thai-Burmese railway. The road was needed by the Japanese to join the Siamese Bay and the Andaman Sea for the land for the supply of their troops during World War II. The railway was built prisoners of war. Both local and prisoners from other countries. Built the road literally for the year. The working conditions were hellish, more than one hundred thousand people of various nationalities died. Hence such a name. Soon the road was destroyed and only partially restored at the moment. Somewhere by a third of the total length. The locomotive is just a memory, a certain symbol, but if you penetrate the history of the place, you can completely look at this place. If you are traveling with a guide - in such a place it will be simply indispensable.

In general, I strongly recommend watching the movie "Bridge over the Kwai River" This excursion has become popular thanks to this magnificent film. 7 Oscars are talking about themselves

Literally a few meters from the steam locomotive is a waterfall of Sayok Noi. Unfortunately, by the time of our arrival it is just ... drying. As the guide told us, there was no such drought here for a long time. Therefore, on the Internet you can find a lot of spectacular photos of the waterfall, and it appeared simply in the form of a large stone mountain

Through the road you can see the mini market. Here you can buy something to eat, and at the same time see the process of cooking chips. Very fascinating.

Next, we are going to settle at the hotel. It happens quite early. I can't remember exactly. Probably somewhere to 7, a maximum of 8 pm, you will already be on the spot. Two options are offered to choose from hotel on water And hotel on earth. Of our group, only two girlfriends have chosen a hotel on Earth. All the rest wanted to live in a floating hotel, which is not surprising. The floating hotel is called "Paradise on River Kwai", which gave the name to this story. Around the hotel, firstly, the jungle, secondly, the arrival will be darken, so it is strictly prohibited for the territory of the hotel. When registering is asked as a passport, but in fact enough photocopies. In no case do not take the original passport on this trip. Only a copy. At the entrance something like Hall, here for a tourist is provided with dinner (and in the morning breakfast) on the buffet system. Time for dinner is more than enough - somewhere 2.5 hours from the moment of arrival.

Rooms are small rooms. As if in the mini-hotel you are, but on the water. Huge rafts are connected and stand close to each other. In order not to float (the current is very strong) rafts are tied with ropes to the shore. Coconut wood houses themselves under the straw roof. When we were driving, they were ready for the fact that there would be no amenities. But there were a toilet, and shower (they are combined), and light. There is an opportunity overnight to podzarate your cameras and phones, even Wi-Fi is with an excellent signal, although we thought that nothing would not have it, so they tried to save on frames on the first day to have enough and on the second. That is, if you think that there will be a complete immersion in the jungle atmosphere with the absence of electricity, it will not be exactly so. Nevertheless, all this setting is very colorful and produces an indelible impression. As I learned later, there are no numbers without electricity, but they are more expensive.

Removed a little video on site

Since the hotel is on the water, then the houses are swaying slightly, the noise of water is heard. It produces soothing, slightly sluting effect. Fall asleep instantly. On the territory of the hotel, by the way, offer a massage service (she discusses even when you go here in the bus). The cost of the 300 baht session per hour, 600 - 2 hours. I highly recommend visiting at least an hour and go immediately after check-in. You go into a large room, externally reminiscent of the barn, take off all unnecessary (optional) go to the mattress and during the time paid, you are massaged specially arriving for this masseuse from neighboring Myanmar. We were told that the massage is the only thing they can in this life. But even if so, they do it awesome. All the bones are remembered, I personally liked me. You leave this "barn" as if reborn.

The darker, the time is the whole atmosphere

The next morning, early rise - at 6 am. Sooo cold, to tremors. The idea that soon it is necessary to jump into the water somehow does not warm at all. At 6.30 breakfast buffet. It is necessary to eat quickly, as somewhere at 7 am everyone takes with them all their things and sit in minivan. We are going 10 minutes along the river Kawi upstream of the river. There are planted, we move into bathing and life jackets (those who will swim. And it's not everyone wants), come to a small pier and sit down (you can stand) in a huge raft. It's hot tea on the raft, it's still cold. As it turned out, there are much warmer in water

The raft has a place where you can decompose things. The raft himself is tied to the category. The boat pulls it upstream of the river and after some time everyone will jump off. The boat with a raft is floating back to the pier, and all the speed pushed into the water at a convenient speed of 3 kilometers towards the pier. Left jungle, right jungle, somewhere around the corner of Myanmar

Looks like this swim pretty funny

People floats at different speeds, someone will not wait quickly, although I do not understand what kind of buzz. I walked and wait ... In this case, everything is sailed, since the course is quite strong. But periodically brings to the side, closer to the shore. This is especially felt on turns, there anyway should be attentive. Sometimes at the time of swimming legs hurt some bushes. In principle, nothing terrible but pleasant little. Very preferably. In such a swim in such swims in the end, men who can insulate girls floating aside. It was also necessary to protect them.

And even closer to the pier a small whirlpool. It does not carry any danger, but it is not always possible to overcome him from the first attempt. Therefore, jokes about the next penalty circle of Anton Shipulin seems quite harmless.

And on the shore we are intelligent plants.

Next stop - tea ceremony. We are given to try several types of tea, talk about them. All the proposed tea is also grown here. What teas liked - you can buy. For example, I liked the taste of milk tea, and I didn't like blue at all. Each of the choices carries some kind of healing role. At the very least, we tell us so and write about it in the description

Further we go to thermal (rodon) sources - one more place. Where must be redeemed. Sources consist of three small pools of different temperatures (30, 35 and 45 degrees) and separately next to them a very cold lake. It is believed that sources have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system. Well, the forces are attached. And in each of the sources, it is not recommended to be more than 3 minutes. We advised to first plunge into the most "cold" of them (where 30 degrees), then in cold water, then in the middle, then again in cold water. And to get stop in the hottest source. All this is done for contrast, to achieve a greater effect. While you swim, you are films a local photographer and when you exit from the territory of sources, can purchase yourself in a simple frame for 100 baht. If you are successful - I advise you to take.
