The central military tourist base "Borovoe" was opened in 1988. In 2016, the institution became part of the Federal State Budgetary Institution SKK Podmoskovye of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The format of the health resort is active tourist rest; recovery after strenuous long-term work; general improvement of the body; travel along ecological and historical routes.

The tourist base is located 67 km from Moscow, on the shore tectonic lake with spring water and sandy beaches. The territory covers an area of 113 hectares. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities are built among pine and mixed forests, through which the picturesque Sherna River flows. The climate here is moderately continental, the seasons are pronounced, therefore, the organization of recreation is subject to the change of seasons. In winter, it is sledding, ice skating and skiing. In May, comfortable warm weather sets in, 13⁰ -15⁰, and the season of hiking and cycling tourism under the guidance of instructors opens. It will last until late autumn. In summer, water and sun lovers can enjoy 2 well-maintained sandy beaches. Autumn is a great time to explore historical sites.

For active recreation, the base has everything you need. Guests do not need to bring inventory and equipment with them, as skates, skis, sledges, fishing tackle, equestrian equipment are available at the rental point. There are 12 well-trained horses in our own stable. Vacationers can take horse riding lessons or simply ride a phaeton or sleigh. More experienced riders are invited to go on a one-day horse ride and take part in competitions. The boat station organizes river and lake walks, water skiing, and also provides vehicle avid fishermen.
You can adjust your figure, build muscle mass or just do physical education under the guidance of a coach in an equipped gym, on a tennis court, or a badminton court. Also, guests of the camp site are delivered by comfortable buses to the ice arena and a sports complex with swimming pools in Pavlovsky Posad.

BO "Borovoe" organically combines tourist romance and comfort. A modern 5-storey building is designed for guests. All rooms have sanitary units (toilet, bath / shower), balcony, stylish furniture and necessary household appliances. The price of the voucher includes 3 meals a day according to the "Buffet" system. The dining room is designed for 300 visitors at a time. Booked "chyudo" house # 3 for holidays on the occasion of international day women communists! Tired after a working day, but happy with the anticipation of a chic weekend, my wife and I raced 450 km towards the recreation center, hoping to try fishing on the last ice season, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the other delights of a country holiday. But something went wrong! Upon arrival, during check-in, they noted that the house was cold and damp. When we began to get used to it, we noticed that the house had not seen wet cleaning for a long time, the dust sharply began to irritate our noses and eyes. Well, okay, we can eliminate some discomfort ourselves, tea is not a radisson resort, and we are not pretentious in relation to this format of rest (only mattresses that were pissed off and burned by bulls were plunged into a 10-minute stopper, at bases of a similar format, where we have been, usually such things at least corrected so that not every vacationer will understand that the mattress is not the first freshness). But the batteries were still faintly warm. They asked the watchman to raise the temperature of the coolant, the atoms were somehow not comfortable at all. He twisted the thermostats on the radiators, and gave out that it was useless since the boiler was running at a minimum. He said that he would add heat to the boiler and left. We waited for the heat for another hour, while the house was "settled down". The batteries are slightly warmer than the surrounding air. Then the wind blew out and how let's siphon through the cracks in the front door. It became completely sad, the euphoria from the upcoming rest was blown away by a draft from that door. Time is late, for our modesty, so as not to bother the person, we did not call the administrator (in vain, of course, but there is little likelihood that this call would help us). We lit the gas stove, heated the room a little, curtained the through door with a blanket, put on hats, warm socks and sweaters, went to bed. In the morning we woke up from being wildly frozen.

For good winter holiday it is desirable to lay at least a ski track for vacationers, and I would very much like cleared "modest" paths through the winter forest or at least to the lake. This place is beautiful coastline, but it is impossible to approach the shore. Among the entertainment is only walking along the road cleared by a tractor for a car. Well, it's time to replace the mattresses, they are very uncomfortable. The TV still doesn't show.

There are 4 houses in total, one of them is a large two-story one, there were no inside. We stayed in a small one, for 4 people, for 3800 per day (although 1200-1500 is a red price for him). In these places, the prices for accommodation are generally inadequate! The houses are most likely designed for the Spartan residence of fishermen-hunters in the warm season: two small rooms, separated by a brick stove (they did not dare to check its work) and a plasterboard partition that does not reach the ceiling; a kitchen-veranda-hallway with a gas stove (this was a very big plus - it was used as an additional source of heat!) and a bathroom with a shower (the boiler is large, there were no problems with hot water). The temperature outside was about -5 degrees. Accommodation was booked in advance. At the same time, it was very cool in the house, I didn't even want to take off my jackets! The watchman promised to turn up the heat, but, apparently, he did not succeed - he had to sleep in very, very warm thermal underwear, in fleece and woolen socks (they did not take sleeping bags, unfortunately), the batteries were at the maximum half a little warm (for the other half - cold :)). There is no street lighting on the territory of the base, or it was not turned on. With electricity there is a problem on duty, apparently. Half an hour later, as we checked in, the electricity went out. The watchman said that it happens and they have a spare generator, it seems they didn’t have to use it, they gave the light :) In general, the house is clean. BUT! The trouble with the beds: the mattresses should already be replaced, at least cleaned, at least removed the corpses of insects !; there are no mattress covers, the covers on the front side are much cleaner than on the inside; woolen blankets have long been dry-cleaned; the linen was washed, but for a long time.

The family stayed in transit for one day, on December 7, from early evening (before dark) until morning. The location on Booking is incorrect !! The base is located on the road Kobenevo - Borovoe (on Yandex maps it is shown exactly), you can turn to Kobenevo, you can at the previous exit, but in winter we did not see it. We liked the location of the base - it is very quiet, around the forest, pine trees, you don't need to go deep into the depths. The territory is much smaller than it seems from the photographs :), the houses are close enough, but not so much that it causes discomfort. The car is parked directly at the house. The houses are nice outside, with open terraces with a table and benches. Windows - plastic double-glazed windows (no blowing from the cracks) with mosquito nets.

The administrator, a man, was not particularly welcoming, clearly did not expect guests. In general, there are no questions to him, but I would like a more friendly attitude.

Accommodation just right! Near the lake and forest. There was no one at all at the base, it was very quiet and calm. Everything is at hand. There was no soap and dishwashing detergent in the house, I think that such things should be in a house with a sink

The cleaning is purely symbolic. The set of dishes and other "amenities" is ascetic. Audibility is perfect. If you have a common house, you will have to become one family with your neighbors for a while.

We must still maintain what we have. The shower flows like it did three years ago. And either adjust the pump or put the battery. Change mattresses, blankets, pillows, bedspreads (although they are not needed by and large). And I had to buy cups again.

Location. Nature is just a fairy tale. And the main thing is that it is a wilderness and few people. But there are mushrooms and berries and fish, although not very good, but it is caught. After Moscow, full rest.
