The plate on it says that in August 1919 a detachment of Red partisans defeated the White Guards here. The monument appeared on the ridge in the fall of 1982.
Mount Shakhan gained wide popularity thanks to the shooting of the multi-part feature film "Thunderstorm Gates", which took place nearby. She goes out to the barrier near the mini-pond. After about 100 m from it, another well-worn path departs, which, after a steep descent, will lead to the Monument to the Red Guards. - From the village of Erivanskaya ... The route starts from the road from the final stop of the village, along which you need to go up, along the Abin valley. In 2-3 hours there will be a hunting cordon - small house in the center of a spacious meadow. From this point, the trail will go to the upper reaches of the river. Further, after 5 km, - Abin trigger point. The road becomes ridge and takes to the left. After 3-4 km, it will lead you to a memorial sign at the top of the Shahan. It's pretty cool here in places;
- From the village of Vozrozhdenie ... From the stop where the transport leaves for Gelendzhik, you need to go towards the resort to the west. After about 200 m, near the turn to the right, you will see a pointer to the waterfalls of the Zhene River. Continue in this direction and, without turning off the main road, walk to the top of the Kotsekhursky ridge.
