The June-August period is characterized by such large waves that regular swimming can become simply dangerous. In general, with regard to waves, this place in Phuket is considered the most unfavorable, people die here quite often. The location of hotels on Karon is mainly provided not near the beaches, the buildings are separated from it by a road. Most of hotel is located on Big Karon.

This beach can be recommended for those who want to spend the maximum amount of time during their holidays on a good beach and splash in the cleanest water, but at the same time, not be too far from nightlife and other entertainment.

Kata Beach

It offers good conditions for recreation, including shops, exchange offices, restaurants. There will be no reason to send anywhere else for anything, unless you head to Patong Beach for some nightlife.

In fact, it is not as boring here as it might seem at first glance.

Bang Tao (Bang Tao Beach, Thai Bang Thao)

There are shops, restaurants, cafes, massage parlors and travel agencies, but there are no wild discos and adult entertainment that Patong is famous for. There was enough transport to get to any other part of the island. Another attractive feature of this holiday destination from other areas is the absence of a road along the beach, and the first line of hotels is located almost on the beach itself.

Cleaner and generally good beaches are located in the north of the region. Nai Harn Beach

This beach is not in vain considered one of the most beautiful on the island. Its location is almost the southernmost tip of the island in the bay.

Surin Beach (Surin Beach, Thai Ao Surin)

If you still manage to get to a not too clean place on this beach, you just need to walk along the coast to stop where you will be met by blue transparent water and the purest sand.

The length of this beach, located in the northern part of the island almost next to the airport, is nine kilometers. It also belongs to the Phuket National Reserve.

Mae Khao is the longest beach on the island. There is practically no tourist infrastructure here; only a few expensive hotels are scattered on the beach at a considerable distance from each other. There are not even sun loungers on the beach, and restaurants can only be found in hotels.
