Today they are "accused" of destroying the city and part of the pyramids as some natural disasters and social split, when the numerous poor people are simply tired of enduring the ever-increasing arbitrariness on the part of the highest nobility. The city of Teotihuacan was savagely plundered and destroyed. But both hypotheses are very controversial, since no evidence of violence was found, and as for the looting, anyone could have done it.
