1. Greenland

Area 2 130 800 km². Greenland is located in the northeast of, and is the largest island on Earth. The island is 2,600 km long and 1,200 km wide. The island is of mainland origin. The subarctic climate on the coasts becomes maritime. In the south, you can see dwarf birch, mountain ash and willow. Closer to the north, the surface is covered with mosses and lichens. From animals, musk musk ox, polar bear, polar wolf, arctic fox are isolated. On the coasts, walruses and harp seals are rookery. Bird markets are organized by eiders and seagulls. The island belongs to Denmark. The population, represented by the Greenlandic Eskimos, lives on the west bank.
